I would choose fighting. I have won more than a few Monotype tourneys with these. Fighting has powerful moves, five strengths and only two weaknesses. It can bat the highly defensive Steel, we get the almighty fire/fighting warriors, Blaziken, Infernape and Me, Emboar.

Here's how the three stack up:

Blaziken: Godly, just overall awesome

Infernape:  I'm laughing cuz' it's such a joke 

Emboar: Also a clone but still ok.

ERM, just because they are fire/fighting doesn't mean they are a clone. They have different designs, different stats and are based off different things. Is Stunky a clone of Muk just because they are both poison types? Is Staraptor a clone of Dodrio just because they are both Normal/Flying? I think not.
