I look at Nikolai and raise an eyebrow before hurrying off down the street to catch up with Edan.

"Beckah," She says, her grin faltering into a vague smile, "Boring? Nah. Not if you have friends. I'm assuming you don't."
She keeps her position standing in the middle of the sidewalk. She doesn't wish to stand next to him, anyway, he already seems sort of unpleasant. Not that that'd ever stopped her from making "friends" before. Plenty of her buddies were extremely unpleasant.

"So, Nikolai, are we almost there?"

"Yes. Just around here" I turn a corner, to find that the metropolis e had just came from ended abruptly here. I was used to this change, I'd visited her so often, but I don't think Evan and Chloe are quite so used to having such a sudden change. There are no buildings, just trees, and unless you look back, you wouldn't believe you we're still in equinox. A trail of orange fallen leaves make a path to a shaky wooden shack, which although it doesn't look very grand, it still feels welcoming. "Just in there, that's were we shall meet her." I say, calmly.

"Alright then, but I have to say, I can hardly believe were're still in the the city, with the sudden change."

"I don't suppose you need reminding, but this city is magical. It's magic that did this, not architecture." I knock on the door to the shack, which is made of a rAther old oak.

But there is no reply. I knock the door again, harder. There is still no reply. So I barge in, impatiently, to find the place empty. With no sign of life anywhere...

"This doesn't look like a place to live, it's empty! Nikolai - were you lying to us?"

"Hmm... This does seem odd. Where is said person who lives here?"

[Wolstenholme]

"Nikolai?" I growl.

"Calm down. People do have to leave their house occasionally!" I point my hand at the lock, and try to repair it. "Nah, it's no good. I'm not very good at telekinetics. I'll see if I can predict her arrival" I shut my eyes.

"So, that's what magic he uses."
