starter evolutions

so these appear to be starter evolutions found in coro coro
chespin's evo looks startlingly alike to pignite, and its called hariboogu, it learns mud shot
fennekins is called teerunaa, it learns brick break psycho cut at evolution
gekogashira is froakie's he learns bounce at evo

im reconsidering getting fennekin,  teerunaa or whatever its called (i assume these are japanese XP) looks weird

how do you like them? imo, theyre kinda odd looking

I like Fennekin and Froakie's evolutions but Chespin's I find disturbing. While I have always liked Mud Shot, Hariboogu's face seems sort of creepy. And its shape is basically Pignite minus the curled up tail.

Given the fact it has Rollout I wouldn't be surprised if it evolved into an Armadillo of some kind, or maybe like a Porcupine.

I'm loving Fennekin's evo. A lot of people complained that Fennekin was a standard fox like Vulpix and was unoriginal, but I'm glad they've taken Fennekin down an unexpected and creative route.

I also love Froakie's evolution, which annoys me because I don't like Froakie. :|

The thing that bothers me about Chespin's evo is the artwork... it's actually incredibly adorable but the pose in the artwork is horrible.

This. There are very few things Webby and I agree on in terms of Pokemon, but this is something that I completely agree on. It's either "Oh, this looks the same as a Pokemon we already have!" or "Oh, this looks too different, it's not even Pokemon anymore!". I like how Fennekin's evo uses the stick as a sort of magic wand, I think it's very creative.

But I looove Froakie's evo, I am so glad I picked him as my starter. I can't wait to see the final evo!

What the hell? First Chespin starts out looking like an Oshawott, then he evolves looking like Pignite. Is his final evolution stage going to look like Serperior then?

I think I'll get Fennekin. I liked it from the first time I saw it. Froakie is the other starter I'll pick when I buy Y in a few months after I buy X and beat it.
