Pink was actually considered a more masculine colour before the war.  I have no idea why a war changed that, though; they swapped around the colour pink and blue for boys and girls somewhere along the line, I know that much.

Well, it makes sense.  Pink and other warmer colours are a lot stronger in contrast to soft, cool colours like blue or green.  Pinks, reds, orange = MANLY COLOURS YEEEAAAH so companies are technically making things aimed at females by making them less feminine.  XD
