I put my torchic into a box and am now tearing through what post game there is with the little guy.

I know I'm probably going to get a lot of flak for saying this... but I really dislike all the hoenn starters. I used to like Treecko, but at some point my mind just started to hate them. So I'll probably never use Torchic unless it's to fill pokedex information. Anyways...

If you're wondering why their overall levels haven't risen yet I've been abusing pokemonamie to get their affections to max so I can get boosted EXP. But with Zubat here there won't be much action until I catch Bagon.

I wasn't fond of them either - Torchic gets uglier and uglier, Treecko is weird from the start and always seems a little... unoriginal to me, but Mudkip is okay - it's just a shame that it's final evo is some awkward lizardish thing...

Couldn't bring myself to use it--comes with Speed Boost too! That just makes things a little TOO easy...

Having finished Y, I've gotten quite far in X, and my team is:

Pangoro Lv. 52
Sliggoo Lv. 50 (I leveled it after using Rain Dance and nothing happened! Must investigate...)

Pangoro is awesome, Vileplume is amazing, and Delphox is pretty fun too. Blastoise is ehh... Mega Blastoise is powerful, but it has a shallow movepool atm. I need more TMs.

You know the random rain that can come on routes? I think it means you have to level it up whilst it's actually raining on a route. Not using rain dance.

Yeah, I did this earlier, it was a pain in the ass. Rain came to a route for literally 1 minute. I stuffed a Rare Candy into his gut immediately. Most annoying way I've ever had to evolve a Pokemon, just sitting on a route for 3 hours waiting for rain, occasionally checking other possible rain routes. Ugh.

I saved in front of the lady who gives you Torchic. I'm soft reseting to get her to gimme gimme gimme a really good Torchic.

I might stop if it's a female just because.
