Favourite Starter?

I never used Victini so the fact that there will be a Fire/Psychic is still very exciting however, I think I'm going to be a Chespin fan.

i hope fenniken doesn't turn out to be fire/psychic, but if it does, it won't be that big of a deal. it's a generally unused typing, with only two(?) pokemon before it having that combination... and both of those being pokemon i haven't had a chance to use.
if it has a nice move pool i might be more interested in it, but usually fire starters have pretty much the same moves. maybe the psychic will give it a little bit of offset at later levels? usually all fire starters end up learning a couple fire type moves and a ton of fighting ones. it might be a breath of fresh air.
i have some high hopes for it, but if it turns out to be a letdown, i've always got froakie.
i feel like whatever happens, froakie's gonna be sweet. so sweet.

never liked rodents, srry chespin. but maybe its evolutions will be more appealing to me

i just have an issue since i'm going to pick fennekin, but i'm (very obviously) a cat fanatic so i want to have litleo on my team too

Quick word on why Fennekin would be fire/psychic in particular - It's a fox. In Japanese folklore, foxes are known for being very mystical and having ghostly psychic powers... Plus you'll note in the animations that it seems to learn some psychic type attacks. Though I guess there's the question of if it would be part Fairy type or something.

I am warming up to Froakie. I love frogs. And that's my favourite starter.

I honestly dont know who's my favourite. On one hand, Fennekin is a fox and foxes are awesome. But theres that small chance that Gamefreak is going to screw him up and making him fire/fighting. Chepsin looks derpy but I can imagine him evolving into a giant badass hedgehog thing with spikes. And Froakie, I know a lot of people seem to like Fennekin, so I might want to pick Froakie to counter all the Fennekin fans. In the end, I'll probably roll a die and go with it.

To be honest, what with the fan uproar, there is NO WAY Fennekin will evolve to be fire/fighting. If anything, it wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo purposefully threw in that punch as a trololol to laugh at the internet panic before revealing 'No srsly guys we're done with fire/fighting' XD

i hope i don't offend the person above me seeing as how they probably are fond of emboar but....

i just find tepig's whole evolutionary line, their typing, stats, and movepool completely lackluster. i didn't actually care for any of the unova starters too much actually. i just really want three good solid starters for gen 6 with interesting and new designs/features/typings/something ):

so yeah, fire/psychic fennekin would be cool. to me anyhow

I think these starters look promising. Since Hoenn I really haven't liked any of the starters, I would ditch them at my first chance.

I like Fennekin, of course. I just REALLY hope they don't mess him up with his evolutions...the evolutions are usually what I feel lets me down. But really. A fire fox?...I'm sure I'll still like it. I hope.

I really like Chespin too, although I'm not as keen on his weird hat thing. But at first I wasn't sure whether I liked him or Fennekin more, if anything I leaned towards Chespin. I think it will be the evolutions that sway my decision. I don't usually ever pick the grass starter, so it would be interesting.
