Possible New Info From 16th Movie's Preview Screening

Apparently a trailer was shown during the 16th anime movie's preview screening. Not 100% confirmed, but a special 3DS XL was shown with a special print of Xerneas & Yveltal on the top case and coming in red and blue colours. A Pokémon called Orotto (オーロット) also appeared in the trailer.

Not much, or 100% confirmed, but I'm pretty sure some of us expected a super fancy new special 3DS for the occasion...

Better yet, its a GHOST Sword! Really like that concept, bring quite a few possibilities in evolutions and pre-evolved forms in terms of different swords (Can it be the new Eevee or Rotom? :3)

It's really weird, if you told me 'The next Pokemon is a sword, just a sword' I'd be like 'Jesus that's the worst idea ever' but I look at it and it totally works, something about it just looks possessed and it seems to be very 'Knights of the Round Table' kind of fairytale-ish. Lots of people are hoping for a suit of armor evo which I think looks possible, if this thing has levitate it's going to be VERY hard to take out.

Perhaps, or it could work in the same way Shellder "evolves" Slowpoke or Remeraid evolving Mantyke, into an armor set up.

The Ghost-Sword idea was illustrated with Legend of Zelda before. In Twilight Princess there is a boss who is a demonic sword for most of the battle. As a Pokémon it makes sense. I try to avoid thinking that Game Freak is really running out of ideas and making horrible Pokémon now.

Something you may have glanced over, however, is the plant life on the front of the Gold 3DS XL, and the Clouds on the back of it, reinforcing my theory of Fairy/Grass and Dragon/Flying respectively.

As for the ghost sword, I kind of like it. I hope it evolves into a suit of armor too, that'd be nice. Also hoping for Levitate, as that leaves it with only one weakness (with the current types, anyway).

My thoughts exactly. However, there is a certain... familiarity about it. I can't quite place why, but it reminds me of something from the Zelda series... possibly from skyward sword..?

Better yet, it'll evolve into Ghirahim.

There are so many possibilities for this pokemon. It could be, as has already been said,the new Rotom and change into various sword types: A scimitar forme for massive attack; a shamshir for high speed attack and a boost in critical hit rates; a claymore for exceptional attack and defense but low speed... so many sword types to choose from.
Alternatively, it could (although I fervently hope this is not the case) be part of a new concept where certain pokemon can be linked to others to increase certain stats (as if it were an equip-able item). Not sure that would work though, so I live in hope that that option will not occur...

However, I think it most likely that if it evolves whist you have another particular Pokemon in your party the they will merge in the evolution. if this is the case, and it becomes some sort of armour, I hope there are multiple armour types. I'd love a possessed samurai armour. With gleaming red eyes. And a special move called Zantetsuken.
