Having both games, my plan for Omega Ruby is to catch the first Pokémon of each type that I find, not worrying about stats unless the ability is relevant, and with no trades finish the game at quite a fast pace.

Alpha Sapphire will be the game where I breed perfect Pokémon and EV train them, with help from X and Bank if necessary.

Triumphs:
Beat the first gym on my first day of playing.

My triumphs:
Beat the first five Gyms the day of release
Found and caught a Surskit. Triumph because it was near Petalburg City and it was the very first Pokemon I found on that route.
Got a Water Pulse Spinda and never noticed it was special until two days ago
Beat Tate and Liza with only sacrificing Glalie. It took the blunt of Whiscash's Surf but it was worth it.
Decimated Wallace with Mega Glalie and Freeze Dry. The guy didn't even get to attack once other than a Rain Dance.
Defeated Steven with only three Pokemon.

Struggles:
Catching Deoxys after the E4 the second time. I started off with about 120 Ultra Balls and by the time I caught it, I had only 93 of them left. It took out Rayquaza with one hit (it didn't even use Cosmic Power!) and I had my shiny Metagross at level 55 I think and it was out levelled by a lot but somehow kept surviving  every hit it recieved.

Truimphs: My Shroomish is s l a y i n g. Why have I never used one before?

Struggles: Having to wait for my DS to charge so I can keep playing. Having dropped it one too many times it now only charges using the cradle.

I feel you. I do that every time.

struggle: looking for a ralts because ive always just adored ralts and really dont like/need any of the pokemon apart from ralts at the starter routes

triumph: i have a marshtomp before i need to help wally find his ralts??

Triumphs for today:
Finding wild Pikachu with Thunder Punch, a female with a Light Ball but no Egg moves, another with Lucky Chant, and one with Fake Out in less than 30 minutes. I LOVE Dexnav!!!!
Successfully bred a Pichu with Volt Tackle and Thunder Punch

Ah man it's crazy. It only really hit me today that I've never actually seen Hoenn in twilight because they never put that system on the originals. It's really different playing it in the dark.
