DW/HA Unova Starters event!
« on: December 19, 2014, 07:26 »
It has been announced that Japan is set to receive 3 events: one for Contrary Serperior, one for Reckless Emboar, and one for Shell Armor Samurott. These are distributed through special serial codes in Japan. These codes will be distributed on Get☆TV.

Serperior's code will be distributed on December 28th, and can be redeemed January 9th-November 30th.

Emboar's will be distributed on January 11th and can be redeemed January 16th-November 30th.

Samurott's will apparently not be distributed on Get☆TV, but rather in a CoroCoro issue on January 15th, and can be redeemed January 16th-November 30th.

In addition to this, another damn Pikachu event is coming as well, with the moves Play Nice, Charm, Nuzzle and Sweet Kiss, holding a Sweet Heart, which can be obtained in some cafe in Shibuya, Japan. I think I speak for everyone when I say who cares.

Come onnn Game Freak, I need my Contrary Serperior! ;-;

I'd care if it had Surf. I can never get enough Surfing Pikachu.

It's been a long time coming..
DW Snivy!  Not sure if it has any uses rather than spamming Leaf Storm & the occasionally boost from Foe's Energy Ball & Moonblasts but awesome all the same.
But Bropig man, Fire Blitz, Wild Charge...HEEEEEAAAD SMMMMASSH
Shell Armor is OK,  I think Torrent might be a better fit.
Time to stockpile on high in demand Pokemon

Is anyone else tired of these events slated for Japan being like, 30 to 1 for what NA gets?

Oh My Kyorge I never even thought about that.  this is going to be amazing.

Too bad it's movepool sucks though, I'm half wondering if I should put in the effort and get one with a good HP so far all I had in mind was a Timid and or Modest Nature (probably both so it's so easy to breed good Pokemon now),  Leaf Strom, Giga Drain, Dragon Pulse annnnnnd that's it. :|

Well, this at least is breedable, only takes a handful of generous players with a Ditto and a HA Serperior and GTS that the Snivys will spread, hopefully, very quickly.

This is what I'd recommend:

Serperior@ Life Orb
{Contrary}
Timid nature / Naive nature
EVs: 252 Sp. Attack / 252 Speed / 4 Defense
Leaf Storm
Giga Drain
Hidden Power Fire / Ground
Dragon Pulse / Glare / Knock Off

The different Hidden Powers cover different things (Steel, Heatran). Glare can Paralyze an incoming threat to make it easier for something else to handle early on in the battle, Dragon Pulse provides perfect neutral coverage along HP Fire (aside from Heatran) and Knock Off can ruin many things that rely on their item.

With Serperior's code being the word POKEMON followed by its dex #, it's likely the code for Emboar is POKEMON500 and POKEMON 503 for Samurott. When I typed this into Mystery Gift, it accepted the code and started searching for a gift but came up with "The gift was not there..." I tried to type in POKEMON503 for Samurott's code and got the same result. If those codes weren't valid... it wouldn't search for the gift and would rather say that the code is incorrect. Apparently, it seems that the codes for the events are just the word POKEMON followed by their respective dex numbers. After the events start, of course
