I remember the fact that back in Explorers of Darkness there was only one place you could obtain Gengar, which was my favorite pokemon at the time. And even then Gengar itself was amazingly rare to find and even rarer to befriend. The dungeon itself could only be unlocked via wondermail too and was like. Amazingly difficult. It took about a solid week to finally obtain a Gengar, jeez.

also because it's good w sensory stuff and given that i sometimes can't go out in public without overload on particularly sensitive days + im mildly autistic and struggle w how to respond to people it seems pretty much perfect

Practically, i'd probably want a vulpix/ninetales because the weather can be changed to sunny whenever I would need it to be. Plus fire is a useful tool for many things. Finally, psychic powers? Yes please.

Personally, it's obvious. Besides for blaziken, probably a shiny riolu due to the dreams i've had. For some reason, that yellow works even though I hate yellow with a passion (the only other thing that's mostly yellow that I like is lucina's yellow alt in smash). Plus it's adorable and seems like the type of pokemon that would be a cool friend to have, because when it evolves.....

Giratina, in all games where I can get it. IRL though... maybe not the best idea, unless I can befriend it and it would never hurt me or anyone I don't want it to hurt, in which case, definitely the best idea.

For non-legendary pokemon... ahh, there are so many good choices >_<
