Opinion pool: Slowking or Slowbro?

I perfer Slowbro imo because he is a great tank.

I like the eccentric Slowking better. It's one of the most intelligent and interesting-looking Pokemon. Slowbro on the other hand isn't. It's always reminded me of Patrick Star since it's pink and not so bright and is also Water-typed.

Depends on what you need. Overall, I think slowbro is better because of that godly defense, scald to complement, and a mega that looks cute and derpy as hell. If you need a special wall, slowking is an option. Nothing against slowking, but slowbro is better imo.

Should have mentioned that I only have pokemon X, so no mega slowbro for me

And after I beat the game, I'm gonna try to be a competitive battler, so try thinking of this kinda more like who is better in battle, I guess. But if your opinion has to do with looks, you can still say something about it.

If we're talking aesthetics, I could go either way myself, though the novelty of even having a Slowking isn't something I've had since Pokemon White, where you could catch one in the wild. For me, it basically boils down to whether I want that funky Shellder or a 'mon who's rockin' that clown collar.

If we're talking competitive, the general consensus (from my admittedly loose understanding) is that Slowbro is the better pick, Mega Evolution (and the fact you've only got X atm) aside. I can't pretend I know why that is, but I'm guessing regular Slowbro benefits from being a Water/Psychic with higher physical defense more than Slowking with its higher Sp.DEF.

i used to run a slowbro before it got moved to Uber that would go mega, and had regenerator as an ability, slack off, ice beam, toxic, and scald. if you put it against ANYTHING that was a physical attacker they'd be utterly useless, and even against special attackers the slack off/regen really would do a number.
