I have come up with the best gen 1 team!


Venusaur (Cabbage)


Farfetch'd (dux, obtained in a trade)

Machoke (muscle)


Sandslash (sandstorm)


Omastar (oyster)


Electrode (pokeball)

I was going to have lapras, but it was lvl15 and I couldn't be bothered to raise it.

What do you think?

Venusaur for lapras and dugtrio (I could also use machoke and electrode for lapras!)
Dodrio for exeggutor
Electrode for fearow
Machoke for snorlax
Gyarados for charizard

And I don't even need all six to destroy your team!

Now..... does anyone else think they can build a better team than mine?

Err.... Type advantages doesn't always decide the outcome of a battle the only witty comeback I can think of I beat the grass type gym leader with an ivysaur!

Also, I was thinking, should I get lapras instead of Gyarados?

I've solo'd every game up to gen 6 at least once with one pokemon. The NPCs are useless and easy mode.

Fury attack is useless - getting a full chain is rae, and otherwise it does minimal damage.

Ground is neutral to ground, but sandslash is pretty awful in that game as whole.

Allow my to just say this is my team:

Browser (Ninetales)
Cabbage (Venusaur)
CLE Sports (Alakazam)
ImaBeAFish (Dragonite)
Meow Mix (Vaporeon the pokemon go god)
Capt Jack (Fearow)

Dratini was at 15 but it's now about the same as my team. Don't let levels get in the way (though it is annoying).

Fearow rains crits, FWG core with Nine/Venu/Vapor, Alakazam is the nearest thing to broken you can get without going into Cerulean Cave and Dragonite is Dragonite (not as good as today but wrap into hyper beam is smexy). Half of your team loses to venusaur and alakazam laughs at the other half. If you try to say your duck can beat it, just remember that Alakazam learns thunder wave and thunderbolt.
