I think he will succeeded and if he doesn't they could always draft me in to play him.

You'd probably fit the part better. <.<

Rotom48

No! Our English/Drama teacher should play him! He is scottish, tall, skinny and GINGER! The doctor has never been ginger! And he is really doctorish in real life anyway!

EMPIRE

Ginger...haha how The Doctor whishes he was. I'm a failed as The Doctor, I could allways play The Master. >=D

I really thought that they would make him a redhead because he said that.

He at least looked Doctorish. : - /
Personally, I think that Sylvester McCoy was the most Doctorish, although, really, the only Doctor who looked bad was Colin Baker. I quite like Matt's look, although I'm not quite sure why. Maybe it's because the shirt is styled a little like David Tennant's, and the colour is strangely soothing.

EMPIRE

Here's his outfit in full if it makes any difference.

What do you define as 'Doctorish'... They've said loads of times, that each Doctor is a different Doctor. Each having their own personality, attitude and look. I don't think there really is a set style for the Doctor to play...
Yes.

eh, the outfit is the main "D:" thing for me.. tweed is spiffy as are leather elbow patches, though. guess it's just a bit odd. like someone pasted the face of someone from mcfly onto the shoulders of my old latin teacher.

& I do like matt smith.. really I do.. xD;
i'm sure he'll be awesome in his acting and pass off the look as eccentricities.. yes.
IN TRUE NORTAMPTON STYLE |D
whatever that is.

Eccleston was miles better than Tennant as a Doctor imo. ^^

I think he'll be okay though; who cares about the appearance? It's only clothing, no one moaned because Tennant wore converse did they? He can wear what he wants, he's still the Doctor, and people should give him a chance.

But dressing a 20-year-old up in Tom Baker's clothing from when he was 40 doesn't make a Doctor. It just makes a nerd with a huge forehead.

But any Doctor is a Doctor; that's why they are picked to do it. You can just judge him by first looks like that; you have to give him a chance. Doctor's don't get their reputations from their dress-code; if they did then not many people would like Doctor Who at all imo. You get the reputation by acting well (or badly), and for making the position your own.

Don't under estimate his clothes, Baker has killed Daleks and Aliens with that hat and scarf. ;P

Yeah, I remember seeing him destroy a Dalek and damage a Dalek ship beyond repair with a single toss of that hat. =]
