just got back from battle of the bands. the bands were good and i hung out with james and nate. and nate winded up sitting on my lap but i dont think thats the way its traditionally supposed to go...

college work is going better than expected after a week of fretting about it.

two assignments due in tomorrow, one to the absolute garan-damn-tee best of my ability the other errr, not so good...

but i dont care about the second one because no one has a clue what to do in my class.

ah, finally got the chameleon's basking light sorted out. 
It didn't turn on this morning, so took out the bulb, which had exploded and stuck to various parts of the fitting, sorted that out and changed the bulb, which still didn't work, so went and bought another, which still didn't work so took out the bayonet fittings and reassembled it and it still didn't work so 
so I got my stepdad to fix it |8 
and obviously he managed to in about ten seconds 
i am not built for DIY honestly 
anyway, now it works, and because both of the bulbs work, I've a spare for the next time it conks out. 
Woooo. 
 
all of this bulb-changing was of course done with one very angry chameleon clinging to the wires about ten centimetres from my hands, hissing. 
He's still grumpy but at least he's warming up now, and I managed to clean out his viv while I was there.
