My mother is making chips. I bloody adore the chips that she makes. I could quite happily eat a bowl of them. So far I have been unsuccessful in this, as everybody else in my family loves them just as much. Damnit. 
 
Good time of year for lazy food. Watched Starter for 10 with my family yesterday and ate fajitas. Clearly I was in a good mood as I laughed hysterically every time Catherine, Benedict or Mark appeared on screen and worried everyone present. 
thank god they weren't all in one scene. well, sort of. 
 
May make spam casserole next week. Shh, it's my favourite food. 
Spam casserole.. with home-made chips? Excuse me while I become wildly incoherent. 
 
Also, on a less food-related note: I got today in the post a very lovely christmas card from a friend who I haven't seen in a while. 
Which was nice.

Part of my mum's job is to help students to get top marks with dissertations and research. She just promised to spend next week helping me if I need it. This means more than you can imagine because my work worrys me so much. I'm actually optimistic for the first time in months!
