I was feeling miffed cause I can't go sales shopping due to mountains of revision
and then I saw this in my lecture notes:

"Suppose that we wish to model a population that is changing over time. For example, the number of people with a given surname, or the number of people infected by a swine/bird/giraffe flu epidemic."

and it made me smile! This is the same lecturer who once wrote up an exercise sheet on ergodic chains and handed it out to the class without realising that the computer had auto-corrected it to say "erotic chains"..

Also the fact that I now struggle to write a capital V without instinctively drawing a bar across it to make it into an upside down A. It's pretty frustrating but this new peculiar reflex has tickled me.

This is what doing maths nonstop for days on end does to you ^^;
