Apparently I was supposed to be born a girl. And my mom wanted to call me Amanda, yo.

Legacy

My mother was gonna call me Francesca if I was a girl -_-
My father didn't want a girl.

My father wanted me to be called Desmond, after him, his father, his father etc.

My mother wanted me to be called Nathanial.

I ended up being called Nathan, with Desmond as my middle name.

But Liam, that is surely the joy of a topic. Someone posts a fact about themselves, and other people think "ooh, that's a bit interesting, I can tell my experience of that... thing", and that topic dominates the thread for a few pages, and then something else a little more interesting or new comes along and the topic of scars is entirely forgotten... I completely forget what I was talking about.

Er. Less "random facts", then, and more "connected facts based on the post posted just before me which has reminded me of things".
Less snappy as a title, I agree.

Here, yes, names. I seem to remember being told that were I a girl I would have been called Flavia or Claudia... German pronunciation for the latter, I believe. And yet my sister has neither of those names.
I did happen across an old baby name book some time ago, and it is quite interesting.. worrying.. interesting... to see which names have been underlined. Er.

My eyes are mostly light blue, but I have a gold ring around each pupil. I'm quite happy with them. <3

The above statements are masterfully crafted fabrications.

IIRC if I was a girl I was going to be called Erin. My dad wanted to call me Brendan but my mum was having none of it and here I am as Liam. :D

I have various uncles with the same name as me, but they all go by Bobby or some variation of it while I refuse to be called anything but Rob, Robert, or Robbie.

I'm not sure what my name would have been if I were born a girl, but I know that for a boy I look way similar to both my mom and my older sister. We seem to share a lot of traits.

As for scars, I have two big ones and several small ones...most medical.

The biggest scar is the one that runs diagonally across the left side of my stomach, starting up and right, and moving down and to the left. It's from the removal of my spleen when I was three, if it wasn't removed it would have exploded while inside of me.

The second biggest is a burn I got while 16, oddly enough it happened in the hospital too but not because of a procedure. My legs had gone numb, but that's another story, and while I was in the hospital getting it all fixed, I was using my step brother's laptop to keep me entertained. Long story short? I left the large battery part of the power cord next to my numb leg, woke up with a giant burn the size of the battery in the morning that I could not feel. Lucky me it was mostly healed by the time I got my feeling back.

And I have a bunch of little scars on the right side of my abdomen that come from the Liver Biopsy I've had to take every year since the numb legs incident.

I have some others here and there, mostly on my hands, but I have no idea where all of them are from.

Because I kicked around so much in my mom's tummy, they assumed that I was going to be a boy xD I would have either been called 'Alexander', 'D-something' (Daniel? David?), or 'Roy'

They had all of these boy names prepared, so the second I popped out female they were like '...Oh(!!!!)'

Mummy dearest decided to give me the name that I got after watching some jordanian airline advertisement. Apparently she was tearing up while watching and then leapt up excitedly when some queen came on and she was like 'I'VE GOT IT!!!!' and my dad nearly fell off his chair in shock xP

It's really odd, my parents thought I'd be a boy and were going to call me Alexander Louie. I turned out an Alice Verity after my Great Grandma.

My parents thought my brother would be a girl and were going to cal him Ml Madeleine Rose. He ended up an Edward - they were going to call him Hugh up until the midwife said, "There's no way he's a Hugh."
Full Name: Edward James Vincent Barbadoise.

^ Poor, poor him.
