man my sound ballsed up, but it works fine with headphones or speakers. 
weirdly, it also works if i plug in headphones for a second then unplug them. at least for a little while, before it cuts out again. 
if yours isn't working at all though then... uhhhh maybe that isn't helpful. i do not know. 
never got an error message for mine i suppose, think there's just a bit of wiring to the speakers that's come loose and keeps losing contact. 
but worth suggesting? maybe. 
i almost looked like the computer knowledge person my parents seem to think i am. 
while i tell them "i do not understand computer mother, i just ask the google." 

The error message actually came to me though Spotify as it said "Spoitfy can't play music" and then the thing about the sound card. Headphones still seemed to work for a minute or two but then they also cut out... it could just be a thing with the wire but i don't know. I'm not good at computers either. I asked the google and the google said that he could only find people with similar problems and no solutions. Darn it.

sound on my laptop has broken. it says that the 'sound card is not functioning correctly' or something but idk what to do and it's really peeing me off because I can't watch the full Doctor Who Series 8 trailer or any movies on it now ughhh.

At a guess, I'd say it's either that the driver isn't updated or the driver is corrupted. Both of these are fixed by uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it, I believe.

If that doesn't help, it might be necessary to re-seat the sound card, but I think that involves removing the "Warranty Void if Removed" sticker, so if you're still in warranty don't do that, get it sent off to be fixed

It's annoying since I love factions mode, but I always get annoyed when someone doesn't revive me as "revenge" for stomping their down because they're right next to me.

when my sound wasn't working a few days back I uninstalled the driver and downloaded an SW Update instead; it depends on the laptop on what to do though.

However, my sound just stopped working, no message or anything, things would play but I wouldn't hear anything whereas Chloe's is saying that it's a sound card problem so I don't really know if that will solve it ^^;

This may be a bit late being that the World Cup ended and what's done is done (Congrats Germany), but during the Mexico v. Netherlands game... It was most defiantly not a penalty! Mexico could have advanced further (probably not win the world cup, but, hey, semi-finals most likely). I wish I could express my annoyance better, but point being is that---

For the last few days I've been looking for people upgrading their air defences / not having air defences, then using 27 balloons and 2 dragons to 100% them xD At least you teach them to build air defences or at least to leave one free xD

I'm slowly getting to 30 while everyone I know continues to get married/move in with someone/have 1st or 2nd baby. A colleague has told me I have to marry her if she isn't married by 35. Naturally if I'm already with someone then I have to divorce them. :/
