What's confusing you right now?

So my best friend finally came out to me. I'm so happy for him but at the same time so heartbroken because I thought we might've had a chance at some point I guess?? I know that sounds horrible but he said he was so scared to tell me because of that. Which makes me feel sad because I'm not some millitant homophobe or anything. I sent him a huge text though and he said he doesn't want to lose me as a friend. Idk I feel a mixture of emotions right now but it's probably nothing to what he's felt for ages. I'm such a bad friend ugh

That's nothing bad! If you liked him, then you're obviously going to feel a little crushed when he tells you that. At least you still feel happy for him, and that shows you're not a bad friend. If you were really a bad friend as you seem to have talked yourself into thinking, why would you feel happy for him?

I mean, there's no reason for you to beat yourself up for wishing he was straight. I've wished the reverse a few times

 Well, it's 2014 so I decided a new year calls for a new aftershave. Well, it's pretty hard to pick one and I don't want to go into Boots and get them to open up the glass cabinet so I can try one because I'm a bugger when it comes down to choice and I'll take ages.

How do I make this easier

 Funnily enough, on another website everyone was talking about Hollister Socal(sp?) but the closest Hollister is an £8 train journey away 

Apparently Diesel Tattoo is quite nice, my mate recomended it to me before and the one in the little pouch!

I might try and check out the Hugo Boss line, since one of 'em smelt like melon and it was lovely

And I'm really confused at why everytime I talk to a girl for the first time, they assume I like them (bearing in mind I'm gay >_>) yet whenever my friends do the same (and they're all straight) they don't.

I genuinely don't understand why Diesel is so popular when it comes to aftershave
They all smell so weak and just... plain
Then again it's better than aftershaves which are too strong like Uomo - the first whiff reminded me of tequila and it's got a super strong citrus smell to it
And it smells awful on my skin >.<;
Current personal favourites are Paul Smith Extreme, Davidoff Adventure and anything that is Paco Rabanne
Although Boss is usually a safe bet
(I spend a lot of time assisting on fragrance at work and I love it)

Actually, on that, why on earth do the French call perfume Toilet Water?

Because perfume is a misleading name - as is aftershave
There are levels of strength of all fragrances, with perfume being the strongest female fragrance and aftershave being the weakest male fragrance

Perfume --> eau de parfum --> eau de toilette --> eau de cologne
Cologne --> eau de toilette --> aftershave lotion/spray/splash --> aftershave balm

All "perfumes" that you buy in stores are never actually perfume
And most aftershaves are not actually aftershaves, and they are almost never colognes
Eau de toilette is the most popular form of fragrance for both genders
