The general trend I've noticed is that people would not normally have cared.

"What's the Royal Family ever done for us? They do nufink!"

...

"What? Two days off work? GOOOOD SAAAAAVE OOOUUURRR GRAAAAAACIOUS QUEEN!"

And if everybody's so 'Proud to be British', why not fly the Union Flags all the time?

well milsap if you dont like britain theres always COMMUNIST SOVIET RUSSIA

These girls that seem to be obsessed with the bloke who plays Loki in Thor/Avengers. I have one as a friend on FB and half her bloody posts are pics/gifs of him. He isn't even fit, if it was Thor I'd at least understand it.

Meh. You know you're avoiding something when you stay up late to think about something like this.

I was invited to sit with two nice people for lunch. Why?  :o
Maybe they only did it because we're all new staff but it was a nice gesture. I need to figure out their ulteria motive for asking me to sit with them, no one does that on purpose.

yeah that happened to me
msn you're a complete bum
and not even for the same reason as I had a mass deleting festival a while back so it's much better in that respect
the new version is just... vastly inferior.

blurg
confused by chickens
i filled up sherlock and mycroft's food container thing yesterday evening and it was this morning completely empty
either they've got a gateway to a black hole contained within their stomachs or they trampled it all into the ground
which is likely
you fill up their food and water and admire their run and go "it's SO TIDY" and cry a bit
then you go back inside and look out of the window and the food and water dispensers have both turned into some sort of mud slush
animaAALLS
the other chickens are lovely though
even though one of them is broody and i have to keep chasing her out of the nestbox
don't care because she's my favourite anyway shhh
and the pheasant actually looks like a pheasant now
if you coo at him he'll imitate you

i forget why i came into this topic
chickens r gr8
i missed them
I missed my dog, too.. took her for a walk and she is so well-behaved i'm so proud of her even when she eats all of the cat food

oh right i'm confused by myself as well
I've been feeling nauseous and generally Bad on and off for the last... nearly a month now? it's stopped being funny now and is just a pain in the.. stomach.
send your sympathy and hugs this way, folks

Hm, I'll begin by explaining;

Me and my Dad have had season tickets at Leeds now for eleven years, pretty much half my life. We've had times where we've not always been able to get to every match, times where I've gone on my own for months on end because of his work schedule, etc etc, but we've been going all that time. Anyway, when it comes to renewing your passes, you get certain windows in which to commit; if you renew during the first window you get the cheapest price, the next window it goes up a bit, etc etc. Because we'd just sold our captain and sacked our manager, we both decided not to renew our passes during the first window, instead waiting for the end of the second window to review how we felt; ultimately we concurred we'd miss it if we didn't go and renewed them. Or, at least.. we thought we did.

Now, there's a contract in the renewal form you have to sign to allow them to set a direct debit up to pay for your passes. Unfortunately, the ones we signed were for the first window, which meant that the contract was void. However, they rang us up, notifying us of our error and asked us to visit the ground and sign the new agreements to which we did - which was all that was missing - and that was that, didn't think anything more of it. Since then, my brother who works with my Dad at his pub has managed to find work elsewhere which means he's out of town two out of four weeks per month, so.. my dad's availability has gone out of the window.

We didn't think anything more of it until we both received an email saying that it wasn't too late to renew our tickets. Puzzled, my Dad rung them up to be told we'd not signed the forms and they'd been sent out to us at the end of the window; impossible as we'd physically gone down to the ground to sign the amended direct debit agreement. As a result, we've not got our passes renewed and, to add further twists to the story, the seats we've had for years now have been resold already.

But, this is where it gets tricky. I can understand admin errors happen, for whatever reason, but.. it's now a weird situation. I can either ring up and complain - I'm somewhat better at it than my dad due to my ridiculous memory - which if successful, would see our passes given back to us, or not and find somewhere else to sit. The two problems I have, though, is that if I ring up and complain, and actually get our seats back, my dad technically did sign the direct debit agreement and thus, would have to shell out for a season ticket he can't really use. But, the entire reason the seats mean what they do to us is because we know all of the people around us now; typically there's no available seats nearby.

So, I'm facing.. a bit of a problem. After the season we've had, where we've sold pretty much the entire team I liked and gotten rid of the manager I liked - although I don't mind Warnock - whilst the chairman, who I cannot stand, remains.. I'm questioning whether I actually have the energy to continue following them whilst the chairman remains. That with the fact that I'm more than likely going to have to do it on my own makes it harder for me to.. want to go. But it's my team, my first love.. and by god I'll miss it if I don't go.

So do I ring up, argue that it's their error and that we'd renewed at the old prices, which we had, and try and get something back as I'll have to pay more money as a new entrant (technically), or do I just go on a match to match basis..?

Hm.
