Gutsy Golbat
I don't really like this game. Each player controls a Golbat, and you have
to collect hearts. The person with the most at the end wins. You have to stay in
the air while tapping "A", and avoid the Magnemite's that are at the
bottom of the screen, and sometimes the top. If you hit another Golbat or a
Magnemite, you lose some hearts. If you have a Golbat on your cart, you will use
that. I'm not to sure about Crobat though, as I am yet to bother to train a
Golbat. If you know, tell
me.
Topsy-Turvy
In this game, you each play as a Hitmontop who has to spin around in a
circle. I suppose this is based on Sumo Wresting. The first player to knock five
players out of the ring, or the player with the most KO's wins. Easy.
Clear Cut Challenge
I own at this game! In this, your Scyther, Scizor or Pinsir (Scizor
only accessible if you have one on your cart), has to cut a log when dropped as
close to the white line as possible. If you get on the line, you get twenty
points, if you get under, your points are decided by how near the log the cut
is. In a similar way, if you are over the line you will lose points.
Furret's Frolic Points Table
Ball | Points |
Pokéball | 1 |
Great Ball | 2 |
Ultra Ball | 3 |
Masterball | 5 |
Furret's Frolic
In this game, each player is a Furret, or if there is one on your cart, a
Girafarig. You have to hit falling Pokéball's into your "goal",
person with the most at the end wins. Its hard to explain, so I'll stop talking
now.
Barrier Ball
In this cavalcade of Mime's you play as Mr Mime's using barrier on a court
split in diagonals. Its a bit like football. You have to bounce the ball of off
your barrier into your opponents goal. If you score, you get one point, if you
let one it, you lose a point. Press "A" to "shoot".
Pichu's Power Plant
This is just like Thundering Dynamo but with an added twist. To power the
machine, you have to use the d-pad to press the direction of the thing you have
to shock. The thing you shock displays what button you need to tap to power it.
Simple. First one to power all the way up wins.
Rampage Rollout
In this game you are "at the races" with a Donphan! You must move
you 'phan around the track. Its a 9-lap race! When you pass the
"checkpoint" you get three whirlwinds, of which you can place at any
time. You need to hinder your opponents progress by making them run into them.
First round the track wins (obviously)
Streaming Stampede
This is fun... and eductional! You have to count the said Pokémon as they
walk past. Sounds easy? Wait until you have to count every single one on the
last round! You get points for getting it right, person with most points at the
end wins.
Tumbling Togepi
This is similar to Run, Rattata, Run. You have to take your Togepi down a
treadmill track and get to the finish before anyone else. The difference is, you
don't button bash, you just use the analogue stick. No jumping fences either,
you just have to avoid things like logs and Diglett's. A nice feature in this
game is "ghosts" of your opponents appear on the track to show you how
well you are doing comparitively.
Delibird's Delievery Points Table
Item | Points |
Diamond Ring | 1000 |
Grand Piano | 600 |
Big Snorlax Doll | 350 |
Pikachu N64 | 250 |
Game Boy Color | 100 |
Large Sock/ Stocking | 50 |
Sweet | 20 |
Delibird's Delivery
Looks like Nintendo realise how much this Pokémon looks like Father
Christmas, or the man with possibly the most ironic name ever (he isn't the
father of Christmas as I'm sure the Christians among us will point out). In
this, you have to dash to the bottom of the screen, collect the presents and put
them into your sack, and then race back to the top. Different presents score
different points. For example, a diamond ring is worth more than a Game Boy
Color. In the middle of the running ground is Swinubs running across the screen.
Hit one of these and you'll lose a few presents. Very fun. Person with the most
points at the end wins.
Egg Emergency
In this game, you play as a Chansey (maybe Blissey if there's one on your
cart, but I'm not sure. Please tell
me if you know). You have to catch the falling eggs to the tune of some very
French music. There is no time limit, just 100 eggs to catch. Person with the
most eggs at the end wins. Remember to watch out for the Voltorbs, as they can
make you lose eggs. L&R operate the direction Chansey leans in.
Eager Eevee Points Table
Item | Points |
Green Fruit | 1000 |
Grapes | 500 |
Strawberry | 100 x the number of them |
Pineco | Penalty |
Eager Eevee
In this game, each player is an Eevee and they walk around a circle with a
cover over the middle. This games all about reactions. When the cover is lifted
at a random time interval, you must quickly tap "A" to get your Eevee
in there first to get the food. The person with the most points at the end wins.
Details: Face Off
If two or more players win by the same degree, instead of each getting one
star each, like in Stadium One, there is a face off quiz question where all of
the winners play. First to answer wins.
Details: Who's the best?
This time around, a dice is rolled each time to decide what the
prize/winning conditions will be (a number of coins - these are what you win, or
something along the lines of stealing coins from another player. Also decided is
whether the dice roller or the CPU should choose the game. Perhaps the best
feature is, if you win and have a Pokémon game pak in the transfer pak, the
player will get coins!
Details: Relationships
This isn't particularly useful, I just want to tell you about something that
I have noticed. A lot of the Stadium Two games relate to Stadium One games in
some way, perhaps by using the same engine, for example.
Stadium Two Game | Stadium One Game | Why? |
Gutsy Golbat | None I can think of | n/a |
Topsy Turvey | None I can think of | n/a |
Clear Cut Challenge | Magikarp's Splash | Its all about pressing a button at exactly the right time. |
Furret Frolic | Ekans Hoop Hurl | Precision scoring(!) |
Barrier Ball | Ekans Hoop Hurl | Precision scoring(!) |
Pichu's Power Plant | Thundering Dynamos | Hmm, as if this isn't obvious. |
Rampage Rollout | None I can think of | n/a |
Streaming Stampede | Clefairy Says | Both rely on mental ability more than anything else. |
Tumbling Togepi | Run, Rattata, Run | Another obvious one. |
Delibird's Delivery | Sushi go-round | Both use a free roaming engine to collect items. |
Egg Emergency | None I can think of | n/a |
Eager Eevee | Snore War | Pressing the button at the right time. |
