The reason why it wasn't based on the anime was because that the anime didn't exist. Satoshi didn't imagine that pokemon would get that big!

Now that I look at it properly, I thought Ivysaur couldn't stand on it's hind legs, Exxcegute is big and fat, the middle one, and I like Gengar than most of the other Pokemon's.... But I like Pikachu and Moltres the most, though....
