It has been suggested that Pokémon Platinum is set to be released in the US on 22nd March 2009!

This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.

According to Circuit City, Pokémon Platinum is set to be released in the US on 22nd March 2009! Please note this has not been officially confirmed by Nintendo, and so should be taken with a pinch of salt, especially since the site in question has now taken this news down.

Circuit City also revealed some English names:

I usually clump Death and The Grim Reaper in the same pile as the Ferryman of the River Styx, if that's what you're saying. Shame on me, since they're all entirely different people, but I hardly see how that applies to a defective scientist. ...Though I guess I should have read up on his role in the game IN FULL by now...
