Very quick Rate here: Arcanine NEEDS to be bulkier. In the OU tier, if you want to set up Sunny Day without problems, you'll need more bulky against TTar and Hippowdon. Having said that, TrickZelf leads will still maul you. Also, Fire Fang is redundant when you have Flare Blitz on the same set. I'd at least run Leftovers and Morning Sun over Fire Fang. Even then, you might still have problems... Wah- that Jolteon is absolutely terrifying. But not in the way you wanted. Giga Impact? Wide open for a revenge kill. Pin Missle? Absolutely useless, even against SubPunchers. This needs to be pure special, Goin Thunderbolt/Signal Beam/Substitute/Baton Pass if you even want something to Pass. Life Orb for some kicks, Modest nature. Stealth Rocks over Hydro Pump and you'll have the standard Swampert set. Ajust EVs as well. Leftovers; Relaxed nature. Focus Punch? No- Focus Blast if you don't have a Sub up/are primarily physical. Sceptile can only be one or the other; both is too much for him. Choice Scarf would be the best counter for TrickZelf leads, so go with that. Entei, in general, is bad. Shallow movepool, meh stats... the like. Go special and fit in Shadow Ball/Extrasensory/Flamethrower/Sunny Day with a bulky sweeper EV spread. Life Orb as an item, Timid/Modest nature. ...And now you have me confused. Charizard is meant to abuse sun, but you can only pull off HP Grass?!!? Even Sceptile has Solarbeam. IIRC, Charizard can use it too. On a Sunny Day team, it's essential to use it where you can. And Charti Berry? Giant, giant no-no. Choice Specs and a Timid nature, or something. I'm not going to give this a rating since it obviously still needs work. Take my suggestions, if you will.

EV suggestions? I don't do competitive, except on Shoddy. My mega lack of Wi-Fi causes that, so i have no cluw how to arrange my moves/stats
OpalRhea on Fri Nov 6 00:05:30 2009.
Also Choice items seriously screw me over. I can't use any other moves in the battle, besides whatever I first used. I don't see the point of choice items..
ShinyKecleon on Fri Nov 6 00:24:13 2009.
-EV suggestions as in give you a random EV spread? I can't produce one off the top of my head, but bulky = mix of Attack, Defense, and HP, Sweeper = all Attack and Speed, etc... the numbers don't matter to much unless you're SUPER competitive. And honestly, even if you're just a BIT competitive, you should be able to theory up a few EVs of your own. -Choice Items are used by Pokemon who can afford switching in multiple times and are generally used as Revenge-Killers. The boost from a Choice item is 1.5, which is mega considering that the only other place to receive such a boost is from STAB. other items are more modest at 1.3 or 1.2, which is incredibly small when you're dealing with numbers in the hundreds. The general strategy of a Choicer: Go in, hit/kill opposing Pokemon, switch out or stay in depending on what you're facing and how hard you can hit it. You could EASILY switch to Swampert more than once to reset the Choice and let the sweepers overtake your opponent.

Okay, so what kind of EV changes would you recommend for Swamp-Char And what should i alter Char's moveset to in your opinion? Current movesets: Arcanine: Extremespeed, Flare Blitz, Morning Sun, Sunny Day Joteon: Baton Pass,Signal Beam, Substitute, Thunderbolt Swampert: Earthquake, Hydo Pump, Ice Punch, Stealth Rock, Sceptile: Dragon pulse, Focus Blast, HP-Ice, Solarbeam Entei: Extrasensory, Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, Sunny Day Charizard: Air Slash, Fire Spin, HP-Grass, Solarbeam
ShinyKecleon on Fri Nov 6 01:13:53 2009.
Swampert's EVs should probably be something like... 180 HP/220 Def/108 Atk. Charizard will work with maxed out SAtk and Speed. Charry's moveset simply needs SolarBeam over HP Grass, since in the sun it's a Special Grass move with 50 more power than HP Grass. Flamethrower/Air Slash/Focus Blast/SolarBeam will cover EVERYTHING. One final idea: Consider running both Stealth Rocks and Roar on Swampert over Hydro Pump. For one thing, it will eliminate the need for SAtk EVs (and Hydro Pump doesn't cover much more than EQ and Ice Punch). Also, it's a commonly used strategy for disruption- it eliminates Subs, changes the Pokemon on the field, and gives SR damage to the entering Pokemon. Always useful to consider.

Okay. I've made the edits, and I'll post the new squad up soon, but could i get some EV advice for Sceptile and Entei before i do?
ShinyKecleon on Fri Nov 6 01:21:42 2009.
Hmmm... I can only say full Attack and Speed for both, since I've come to a conclusion that Entei is more suited as a pure sweeper.
OpalRhea on Fri Nov 6 02:14:16 2009.
...Okay. i would submit it, but one or more of the move Entei/Arcanine have are platnium move tutor.. which hasn't gotten into the system yet...
Joeno on Sat Nov 7 11:34:51 2009.
Platinum move tutor moves are in the system already
Awkward Squirtle on Mon Jan 25 19:37:48 2010.
Confused as to why Entei has so many Attack EVs with only one physical move, and also as to why he has 2 STAB moves.
Awkward Squirtle on Sun Feb 7 19:58:20 2010.
Why 3 fire types as well?
