Triple Trouble
Created by Lolman
A triple battle team im now starting to use. So far it has yet to win so i think it needs some fine tuning.
Holding Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
Moves: Nature: Brave
Attack EV: 252
Defense EV: 4
HP EV: 252
My exploding lead which starts off with stealth rock to stop switch ins. Stopne edge gets its STAB boost. Drain Punch gives him some type coverage and Explosion is used with the wide guard combo.
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
Moves: Nature: Adamant
Attack EV: 252
Speed EV: 252
HP EV: 4
Wide guard may seem odd, but it protects my own team from Mr Pain's explosion and can prevent common multi target moves such as earthquake and surf. U-turn works great with his regenerator ability and can heal any damage taken by Hi-jump kick and it provides psychic coverage. While stone edge provides flying coverage
Holding Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
Moves: Nature: Relaxed
Defense EV: 252
Special Defense EV: 252
HP EV: 4
Basic dual wall strategy, heal block adds for more support by preventing my opponent from healing. Then i get a STAB gyro ball and his nature lowers his speed anyway making him more deadily.
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Moves: Nature: Calm
Special Attack EV: 108
Special Defense EV: 150
HP EV: 252
He gets sent in after Mr Pain has exploded and his discharge hits everyone from the middle and will-o-wisp reduces most physical forces to nothing. Hydro pump is good in his wash form and hex is better than shadow ball because of the status boost it gains with will-o-wisp
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Moxie
Moves: Nature: Impish
Attack EV: 4
Defense EV: 252
HP EV: 252
Swagger combo's with NurceSweep leads to unbeilvable amounts of attack. Payback works nicely with its low speed, drain punch gives him some healing and bulk up up's his attack.
Holding Life Orb
Ability: Own Tempo
Moves: Nature: Jolly
Attack EV: 252
Speed EV: 252
HP EV: 4
Own tempo prevents it from being confused by Mrs Confus's swagger but it retains the 2+ attack. Shadow claw is just a move (couldnt think of any replcament). Return is STAB and taunt prevents opponent from boosting up.
COMMENTS
1) Watch out for Fighting type moves. You have 3 pokemon (Regirock, Scrafty, and Purugly) that are weak to them.... and no resistance (Rotom-W is now Elec/ Water).
2) I'm not crazy about Explosion on Regirock. It's still a good move, but does half the damage that it used to now (it used to cut opponent's defense in half... now it doesn't). It does work well with Mienshao, but there's a caveat.
3) This team relies heavily on Wide Guard. This could be good and bad. It looks like you have Explosion and Discharge that can hit everybody, which Wide Guard will protect teammates from. However. Mienshao may not be the best to use this move, since he's not the bulkiest pokemon (65/60/60 HP/DEF/SD). Plus, if he's off of the field, those two moves will hit everybody. If you stay with a fighter, then a defensive Throh may be a be a more suitable replacement (120/85/85).
