Not really an accomplishment but....

My friend and I were talking about our college comp. essays at lunch and he said for my discussion forum post asking for advice, he was tempted to leave a scathing review of my idea to mess with me but was honest. I got really nervous and put off reading it until 20 minutes ago and I finally read it. I expected him to rip it to shreds but he praised the idea so much, like I am legitimately crying right now. What did I do to deserve such great friends like this?

Just encountered Mew in Pokémon Insurgence and it was shiny!!! First encounter too, like I didn't soft reset for it I had to google to check it wasn't like a guaranteed shiny or something 0_o

I might actually get this job. Like the CEO said I gave a really good interview, they like my personality and that I have an up and go about me, and are willing to train and develop me to reach my potential. I really hope they offer me this position.

I'm actually crying with laughter from watching too many videos of emus on youtube I'm not sure why I find them so funny but I'm just so glad I discovered this magical past time.

This will literally complete your life

After going away with the missus for two days it's really nice to actually be in my own bed tonight.

I've been told I'm getting a formal job offer sent to me in the post. What a great birthday present. Woooooo this has actually made me so so happy, like it genuinely feels like things are starting to fall into place properly.

Went to the fair with the missus today and it was honestly really good!

Really chuffed with the tat I picked up from the stalls though. Like, there's this 10' long charging cable that's meant to be heavy duty and I've honestly needed a longer cable but had no idea they were a thing. Also got this aftershave in a Stormtrooper bottle which (I'm guessing) is a rip-off from JPG's Le Male but for £2 it's a cool novelty that appeals to my nerdy side.

We went to the part with the rides and hit the claw machines and won some nice stuff too. Actually won a proper plushy Luigi! Not only that, it was the first go on the machine! The missus won a nice Toy Story one and I almost nabbed a FNAF one because they looked cute although I avoid the franchise like the plague.

Also won this weird bootleg Lego set? I thought it was a knight but it's a ninja.

Tbh, it was just nice going out with someone that means an awful lot to me because neither of us have ever really been able to fully enjoy these things until now.

The missus and I hit another arcade this evening and won more things at the claw machines again! I managed to get the main dude from the emoji movie (awful film) with either my first or second pound.

The film was bad but the quality of the plush is actually quite nice?

The reason we didn't hear from Tom for hours was because he was on a field trip up at the actual volcano of Colima and they felt the earthquake but only slightly 😅 I'm so relieved. His house in Guadalajara lost a few roof tiles but otherwise, no damage done

so I've got an official start date for my new job, 23rd October. Like, it genuinely feels like ploughing through all the nonsense is finally starting to pay off. My boss said he was gutted but the door will always be open which is nice as well.

I just want to celebrate now.
