Hey there. I soft-reset for legendary Pokemon, as well as trade for them from people I know and trust. As I know most of you here, I thought I'd open this shop up. So here's the deal: -I'm looking for legendary Pokemon that are not listed in this shop. I expect them to have good IVs, and what I've listed should give you an expectation of what I'll accept.-All Pokemon in this shop will be KB/HB, which means they have the pentagon in their summary (which means they were captured/obtained in a generation 6 game). I expect the same from you if we setup a trade.-All Pokemon are legitimate, to the best of my knowledge. If ever you're unsure, just ask for a tradeback, but anything with my ID is legitimate. I have no means or method to hack, nor do I think it's necessary in this generation, but things I've received in trades, however unlikely, might not be legitimate.-I will need to find a cloner to clone most of these, though that isn't especially difficult as I have a few connections, and if all else fails, Pokemonshowdown has plenty of clonersWithout further adieu, here's what I've got to offer: Suicune: 30/x/31/31/31/31 Bold Latias: 31/x/30/31/31/31 Bold Groudon: 31/31/31/31/31/31 Impish Rayquaza: 30/31/31/31/31/31 Naive Shiny Azelf: 31/31/29/31/27/31 Timid Dialga: 30/x/31/31/31/31 Modest Heatran: 30/x/31/31/31/31 Calm Cresselia:: 31/x/31/31/31/31 Bold Shaymin: 31/31/31/31/31/31 Timid Terrakion: 31/31/29/x/31/31 Jolly Landorus: 31/30/31/x/31/31 Jolly Landorus: 31/31/31/x/31/28 Impish Xerneas: 31/x/31/30/30/31 Timid HP Ground Xerneas: 31/x/31/31/26/31 Modest shiny Yveltal: 31/x/31/31/31/31 Timid Yveltal: 31/31/31/31/31/31 Mild Zygarde: 31/31/31/31/31/31 Adamant Diancie: 31/30/31/30/31/30 Naive HP Fire Hoopa: 31/31/25/30/27/31 Hasty

So after talking to Tim about the upcoming Gen 6 battle tournament, we began discussing what we thought would be common threats in this metagame. So if you didn't know, here's what this tournament's rules are: -Only Pokemon listed from 001-149 are eligible for use -No items may be held by any Pokemon -Singles Battles, 6v6 All entrants get a Dragonite that knows Barrier, a move that, to this point, only Lance has managed to hack onto Dragonite. So with that out of the way, here's what I think will be threats to watch out for: Clefable is undeniably the best Fairy type this metagame has to offer. It is the only Pokemon in the metagame to get Unaware, making it a full stop to most setup sweepers, most notably Dragon Dance Dragonite. I've been running Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Moonlight, and Stealth Rock on it, but there's a lot it can do. This is the main reason Clefable is necessary on every team. One Shell Smash is basically a win condition most of the time. If you can find a way to remove the opposing Clefable and Thick Fat Snorlax, Cloyster just needs a single turn to Shell Smash, then sweep with Icicle Spear, Rock Blast and Hydro Pump/Ice Shard. Unlike R/B/Y, Machamp actually has usable Fighting type attacks now, and Machamp could see a fair bit of use this time around. Chansey's going to be popular as a special sponge, and Machamp can put pressure on her immediately. It can even go the Guts route with RestTalk to deal with a potential Toxic. Speaking of Chansey... Takes special hits. All the special hits. Spreads status, has the ability to cure the entire team of status, Chansey's going to be popular. Only thing immune to Fighting, Gengar also gets the ability to deal Super Effective STAB damage to Psychics. Unfortunately, he also takes Super Effective STAB damage from Psychics, and is outsped by the two most popular, Starmie and Alakazam. Gengar is one of a few Pokemon that puts a ton of pressure on Clefable immediately, and can usually net a free Sub just by switching into her. Alakazam is super strong, but suffers from a mediocre movepool, and doesn't have Special as one stat anymore, making it far more frail than it was back in RBY. Even so, it's got great Speed and puts on pressure immediately, which can be taken advantage of with Substitute on an expected switch. CurseLax could be a really good end-game sweeper. Snorlax could also act as a potent revenge-killer, especially given his access to Pursuit. Snorlax has a lot of options, a lot of bulk, and a lot of power. Nidoking gets all kinds of options, ranging from fully physical, to special, to mixed. Sucker Punch is an especially good option in this metagame for baiting Psychic types into attacking it and getting the jump on them. Sludge Wave/Poison Jab pressures Clefable, Ice Beam hits Dragonite, Thunderbolt has great coverage, Earth Power/Earthquake are powerful STABs, Nidoking really has it all. Starmie has Hydro Pump, Psychic, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt and Recover, not to mention Rapid Spin support if you feel your team needs it, while sitting on a fantastic 115 base Speed stat and has more than enough Sp. Attack to deal out loads of damage. Aerodactyl is very fast and has good offensive and support options, including Stone Edge, Aerial Ace (important for those damn Minimize Clefable), Earthquake, Crunch, Taunt, Stealth Rock, and Tailwind, among a few others. Jolteon is just as fast, and has really great STAB in Thunderbolt and Volt Switch, allowing it to act as a pivot which isn't very common in this metagame. Hidden Power Ice and Shadow Ball round out coverage, but there's room for some interesting support options in Wish and Yawn if you choose. Ninetales is the only auto-weather setter in this format, which makes it worth watching out for. It doesn't necessarily need a team built around it, but it can pair with Chlorophyll Venusaur for a good combo. A weakness to Stealth Rock holds it back a bit, but Sun boosted Fire Blasts or Overheats hit very hard, and it even has Psyshock to deal decent damage to Chansey. Omastar gets Shell Smash, and has fantastic special attacking options in Hydro Pump, Ice Beam and AncientPower to sweep. Rain Dance is a great option instead of Shell Smash to boost your Speed and damage output without lowering your defenses. Dragonite gets Dragon Dance and has the highest base Attack of all RBY Pokemon iirc, so that in itself is threatening. It even has Iron Head to chip away at Clefable, but I think Clefable will be holding Dragonite back from being truly dominant. You can also go fully special on a Rain team with options in Hurricane, Thunder, Draco Meteor, Agility, hell it can even set Rain Dance. Edit: Iron Head does about 40%. This thing is still pretty terrifying, even if you have Unaware Clefable. Slowbro has Regenerator and has great physical bulk, and the good Psychic typing for this metagame. Paralysis support through Thunder Wave aids the team, and Scald pressures many switch-ins. Reliable recovery in Slack Off too. DDDos has potential, but same as Dragonite, Clefable is holding it back. Its STAB is also more easily resisted by many Pokemon, and the popularity of Thunderbolt makes this a bit of a risky choice. Moltres gets access to Hurricane, which strangely makes it a decent choice for a Rain team, which can be pretty decent. It can also run Sunny Day and Fire Blast alongside Hurricane and just change the weather whenever it's convenient to do so. So what are your thoughts? Who else could be a major player in this weird metagame? What will you be using?

Is a great band. Hey-o. So I've been on this forum for 10 years now. As I've said, I don't have any plans on returning, and since I have a 50 hour a week job now, I have no actual time to frequent the place anymore anyway, so this is sort of my goodbye post. I'll still pop in every now and again when it strikes my fancy, but now I'm rambling. I have missed some of you in my absence, but I have most of you on Facebook anyway. Anyway, in my ten years here, I've made many friends and many memories. Without pulling any punches at all, I'm gonna talk about everyone that has made an impact on me. Utack - You get the first spot because meeting you changed my life the most of anyone here. I consider you my best friend, and even now that we both have real jobs and talk once a week if we're lucky, I love you like a brother and I have your back no matter what. Tim - You'll never read this because you flew the coop long ago, but you and I were great friends. Still are, but we just don't have the time anymore. I learned so much from you, and those memories helped shape who I am. Muhed - I sincerely hope you have a great life, and I also never have to deal with you again, so I'm having a great life! I've heard how much you miss me though. bread - You're cool, man. Keep being you. Claire - Maaan, you're just awesome. I love your art, I love that you love weird, niche things, some of which I appreciate just as much (Link's Awakening!), you're just so cool. You're one of those people I'd love to meet someday, but never actually will. Dragoncat - I didn't get to know you as well as I'd like, but you're a really nice person, and I appreciate your work on PotW a lot more than I ever said. I really hope you see the positives in life more. Life gets better, I swear. If you ever need someone to talk to, just drop me a message, okay? Kay - Nicest person of the year 20+ years in a row. Wish we talked more often, like with many others here, but everyone gets busier as they get older, such is life. Joeno - Honestly, thanks for all your help here. All the stories I was told doesn't really reflect the nice guy I found you to be. I don't know you very well, but I enjoyed doing work for the site. Alex - Haven't spoken to you much in ages, but we had some good talks. Dunno how life is going for you, but I hope you're doing well. Last time we spoke, you seemed to be in better spirits, so I hope you keep your head up through it all. Bluffy - Sorry for some things, not for others, doesn't really matter, we've moved on with life. Aidan - Not sorry, but hope you're doing well. Sam - Hope you're doing well, but also not sorry. JSM - Wish I'd gotten to know you better, but you're by far the best battler I've ever faced on the site. Rex - When the next Zelda comes out (NEXT YEAR ;-; ), I will come to IRC or something and we'll talk for hours! Liam - Stop it, you're supposed to be 12. Paul - Your art is weird, but I get a kick out of it. I'll get you that Shaymin one of these weekends, sorry buddy! SB2K - You annoyed the hell out of me for a while, but I like ya. You remind me a lot of me in many ways, as I've said before. You're a good kid, try to keep the ego in check though. We should play Smash Bros. together more often or something. Dick - DON'T LET THE PEOPLE ON STAGE LEFT KNOW THE SCRIPT! Also, stop falling for Nintendo's freeware games or else I'll find you (But also thanks for letting me know how playable Rumble World is without spending any money). We need to find more time to talk, even though we disagree on everything in life. Sizacu - If I had any time in life anymore, I'd apply those changes to the sprite that you suggested, but I don't, so... that's a shame. You're a brilliant pixel artist, and you always seemed too smart for your age. If I ever do get that time, I'll be sure and show you the remodeled sprite! Well, that's just about everyone. There were a few others that I was friends with, but they're not here anymore. This place played a major part in shaping who I have become over the past ten years, and I appreciate it so much. Ten years provides way too many memories to consolidate into a single post, so let me just say, thanks for the memories!

My best buddy Utack turns 24 today! It feels like Utack and I have been friends forever, he's such an awesome dude, and he's always got my back no matter what! ...Unless the Ursaring come, then we're on our own! He isn't getting eaten by any bears, let me tell you!
Utack's a hilarious, witty, charming guy that has a multitude of talents. It seems that once he sets his mind to doing something, nothing will stop him! So wish Utack a happy birthday, and don't make Swampy Mega Evolve and crush you!
...Because Utack doesn't like being reminded of Mega Swampy! (Sorry buddy!)

This topic was done before, but the topic turned into a Zelda discussion because it was in the title, so what are some franchises you've always wanted to get into, but haven't? Also, what is preventing you from getting into them?
There are a lot for me. I really want to get into Metroid, but the multiple endings that force you to speedrun the game bothers me because I like taking my time with games. Also, the original Metroid is crazy difficult and poorly designed (in my opinion, gotta put that out there before my head gets ripped off), and I want to play Zero Mission to start the series chronologically, but Nintendo won't put it on the US eShop.
So yeah, let me know yours.
Edit: 5 days later and I've completed Metroid Zero Mission and solidified my love for this series

It has been announced that Japan is set to receive 3 events: one for Contrary Serperior, one for Reckless Emboar, and one for Shell Armor Samurott. These are distributed through special serial codes in Japan. These codes will be distributed on Get☆TV.
Serperior's code will be distributed on December 28th, and can be redeemed January 9th-November 30th.
Emboar's will be distributed on January 11th and can be redeemed January 16th-November 30th.
Samurott's will apparently not be distributed on Get☆TV, but rather in a CoroCoro issue on January 15th, and can be redeemed January 16th-November 30th.
In addition to this, another damn Pikachu event is coming as well, with the moves Play Nice, Charm, Nuzzle and Sweet Kiss, holding a Sweet Heart, which can be obtained in some cafe in Shibuya, Japan. I think I speak for everyone when I say who cares.
Come onnn Game Freak, I need my Contrary Serperior! ;-;

So my buddy Utack just let me know something pretty neat, and while some of you may already know this, it's pretty valuable information to those that don't.
You can acquire both the Acro and Mach Bikes from Rydel if you talk to 3 specific NPCs. A Hex Maniac in the Desert North of Mauville (requires Mach Bike), some guy on the rainy route West of Fortree (Requires Surf, Waterfall, and Acro Bike), and a biker at the Battle Resort. Once done, talking to Rydel will get you whichever bike you don't currently own. This is also the only way to fully explore the Safari Zone, so that's neat.

Smogon has announced that, as of now, Ubers is no longer just a banlist, but is its own tier. It will still serve as a banlist for OU as it always has, but now that we have 50 Ubers, it will be treated as a tier, and attempt minor balance issues to make it more enjoyable to those that want to play with these overpowered Pokemon. The first of these Uber bans comes in the form of Mega Rayquaza, which should be understandable to anyone that has ever seen Mega Rayquaza. 105/180/100/180/100/115 base stats with the ability to hold an item is insane. It's not a stretch to say that Mega Rayquaza is the single best and most dangerous Pokemon in the game, and banning it from Ubers is certainly making the tier more playable. However, this is sure to cause some contention, and as such, Smogon has introduces a new tier: Anything Goes. This is what it sounds like: no bans or restrictions whatsoever, except for Infinite Battle Clause, which should be obvious. What do you think about this decision? Are you ready to complain about Smogon for anything they do? Are you happy now that you have a tier where you can do anything you want in theory, but will still get wrecked by Mega Rayquaza? Discuss!

So with the ability to share Super Secret Bases via QR code, I think we need an official topic on it! Post your QR codes in this thread, along with your Friend Code if you'd like, and maybe the location of your Super Secret Base! Additionally, the Pokemon you use in battle when people visit your base depends on what Pokemon are in your team when you connect to Pokemon Global Link, and it only uses the first 3 Pokemon in your party, so keep that in mind! To post your QR code, save it to your SD card, save your game, then turn off the power. Insert the SD card into your laptop and upload the image to tinypic.com or another image hosting website. QR: FC: 1547-5283-8177 Location: Route 119 Additional Info: -Requires an Acro Bike to reach - Click here to view the outside location of my Secret Base!My Secret Base is finished! I hope you'll take some time to come visit!

In a move that should surprise all of 0 people, Mega Salamence is being discussed for a quickban. It's absurdly, ridiculously broken and will be banned very quickly. I've done many calcs for it, and can assure you, there's no way it will remain OU.
