I've been trying to come up with the most efficient way to complete the Pokedex. It will be a living Pokedex with all the Pokemon captured in the region they were introduced in.
I could play all the generations one at a time and swap when I reach certain checkpoints. (Defeat the first gym in one game, then swap to the next while catching everything I can)
I could focus on one game until I complete it and only use the other game for the version exclusives. (Catch everything I can in Fire Red for example, and only use Leaf Green to catch what I can't in Fire Red)
I could catch the best Pokemon for the gym I'm up against and go back to catch everything else later. (Focus on the story first)
Which way is best? I've tried doing it all three ways before, but I end up giving up before I get anywhere decent.
I can't focus on anything for too long before I get bored. I think it has something to do with the mental side of my disability.

If you've played the Isle Of Armor storyline on Pokemon Sword, you know who I'm talking about. I have to be honest, I think Klara is a cool rival. I wrote a poem about her at my art group some time ago. What do you think?
Kind and caring Lovely and sweet Words she uses To hide her deceit
Losing for her Means no recognition Getting attention That is her mission
All three trials to complete On her own, of course But she is too lazy To get off her high horse
Ready to battle Her secret revealed She attempts to win With a poisoned battlefield
Accepting defeat Although in despair The story of Klara The girl with pink hair

I love spending time exploring the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra right after visiting the Wild Area for the first time, which is the minimum requirement to reach both areas.
How far can I get through both storylines before completing the main one?

Do you have an Echo Dot or any another Alexa-enabled devices? Has Alexa pronounced anything incorrectly for you?
What are your experiences?
My Echo Dot announced (after I asked it to play music I haven't heard in a while) that Take A Bow by Rihanna was the next song it was going to play. However, it pronounced bow wrong!
It pronounced bow like boat, as opposed to bow like bowel which is how it is supposed to be pronounced.

I have this keyboard which I want to record myself playing. I have an idea of how I could record it, but I'm not sure if it will work. It has a headphone socket which works as an aux socket too. Only a big headphone plug can fit into it, but the cable I plan to plug into it is a small one. That shoudln't be a problem, as I found one of these on ebay earlier. The cable I plan to plug into it is a headphone splitter which will allow me to plug two audio outputs into it. Plugging headphones in one socket, I'll also be plugging this into the other, allowing me to record it on my pc with this and listen to it at the same time. I should be able to record it in something like Audacity, right? There is a certain backing track I want to use to record a song for a friend. The backing tracks (not the ones in the video) can be manipulated to play whatever chords I like.

My lower back has been incredibly stiff for several years now. So much so that it actually feels really painful these days. I asked my dad for advice, and he said that yoga poses might help. Due to my disability, I'm not able to walk at all or move my legs very well. Most poses that I've seen require the use of my legs. When I'm out anywhere, I use my wheelchair. When I'm home or at a friend's house, I crawl around due to the limited space. The position I'm in when I crawl is similar to the cat and cow pose shown here. Not only do I crawl in that position, I also sit in that position when I'm in my chair too. That pose (or most if not all on that page) aren't going to do me any favours. I can't stretch my back enough to even do the upward facing dog pose there, even though that looks like one of the easier ones! Any advice would be great. I don't know where to begin.

I'm going to use date manipulation in the Wild Area so I can catch everything I can before the first gym, as part of a personal challenge I'm doing. Bulbapedia's page on the Wild area is useful for me here, as it tells me which Pokemon I can catch in each area and what date I need to set on my Switch to activate the weather condition to find them. Which is the most efficient route to take from area to area while changing the date each time? I'm only able to catch the Pokemon available in the southern half at this point in the storyline. I'll be catching all of the Pokemon in every area that require one weather condition, then I'll change the date and repeat the process over and over in a sort of circuit. I've found another website with a full list of all pokemon available, not just the types that are available. I've added a picture of the Wild Area on the off chance I can use it somehow.

For absolutely ages, I've been wanting to not only complete Fire Red and Leaf green, but the Pokedex too. I've gathered a lot of resources to help me out. Walkthrough - I can't get very far if I don't know where to go and what I can catch! Pokedex - Knowing all the moves a Pokemon can learn and when they learn them will definitely help me a lot. Version exclusive list - I don't want to spend ages looking for a Pokemon, only to find that I'm playing the wrong game! Cheat codes - I'm probably not going to use many of these. The Safari Zone ones will certainly be useful though. Glitches - Not all of them are for Fire Red/Leaf Green, but some might still be useful. I'll update the thread as I progress. The way I'll be playingFire Red My "main" game Storyline completion Pokedex completion Breeding Leaf Green Version exclusive obtaining and trading Alternate choices (Other starters, Fossils, Hitmonchan/Hitmonlee, etc) Porygon (Nugget glitch) The Journey Begins(Early July)

I don't very often (if ever) use the navigation bar on the top of the site, but I noticed something earlier when I used it. Information | Interactivity | Community | Site If you hover over where it says Site, the second page on the list says Mantis. All it does when you click on it is give you an error message! APPLICATION ERROR #400
Database connection failed. Error received from database was #0: PHP Support for database is not enabled.
Please use the "Back" button in your web browser to return to the previous page. There you can correct whatever problems were identified in this error or select another action. You can also click an option from the menu bar to go directly to a new section. What is/was supposed to be on that page?

Despite being 33 years old, I'm really crap at maths! According to this Wikia article, it is possible to effectively get infinite nuggets. One nugget, when sold, gives the player 5000 Pokecoins. 10000 Pokecoins gives you 500 Game Corner coins. Porygon costs 6500 Game Corner coins in Leaf Green. How many nuggets is that? To prevent this thread from ending up being nothing more than an answer to a maths question (lol), is Porygon any good for storyline progression or is it merely a Pokedex filler? I want to complete my Pokedex in all the games by obtaining all the Pokemon in the region they were first made available. I know that Porygon is far easier to get in Dream Radar, but Dream Radar isn't Kanto!

I've seen people leaving comments on loads of Youtube videos saying "Number five killed my brother" and I don't get it!
Can someone explain it?

I brought my Amazon Echo Dot with me to my art group today. They want me to bring it again next week.
I asked them if I should make a playlist with songs from their favourite singers/bands. They liked the idea and gave me a list of various singers/bands that they like.
Which songs would you say are the best ones from:
Elvis Presley Abba Take That Adele Rihanna Johnny Cash John Denver Taylor Swift Madonna Michael Jackson Steps The BeeGees The Beatles Oasis Meghan Trainor Justin Bieber Backstreet Boys
I've never heard of Johnny Cash or John Denver before. I've actually got a few Justin Bieber songs in mind, so you don't need to give me any of his songs if you don't want to. I'm just copying from the list of singers/bands that my friends gave me. They didn't ask me for any specific songs in particular, except for Thriller by Michael Jackson.

My mum bought me an Amazon Echo Dot for Christmas. I looked up various things I can say to it, and it said I could ask it to tell me Star Wars jokes. How many Sith lords does it take to change a light bulb? None. They prefer the dark side. Why is Yoda bad at rugby league? How is duct tape like the force? It has a dark side, a light side, and it binds the galaxy together. Why can't you email a photo to a jedi? Because for a jedi, attachments are forbidden. Why is Grand Moff Tarkin single? He's looking for love in Alderaan places. What is Han Solo's least favourite coffee shop? What is Yoda's favourite dinosaur? Doceratops. There is no tri. Why shouldn't you ask Yoda for money? Because he's always a little short. Why can't you eat a wookiee? What's the internal temperature of a tauntaun? What degrees do wookiees get? Their Chewbacca-laureates. When is the staring contest over? Once You've heard one Star Wars joke... ...You've heard them Maul. I think that's all of them.

I know I should put this in the team building section, but I consider that to be reserved for competitive multiplayer teams.
I'm going to rush through the storylines of all the main series games in a sort of "access all areas" playthrough. Once I've completed the main storylines, I'm going to backtrack to all the areas to catch all the Pokemon native to that game's region.
My main goal is to complete the Pokedex in X/Y, and have the summary screen of all the Pokemon say that they're from the region they were first made available in.
I want to complete the games as quickly as possible, while taking my time with the backtracking.
Which Pokemon (and their moves) are the best ones to use for the storylines?
The games I'm going with are: Fire Red/Leaf Green Heart Gold/Soul Silver The original Ruby/Sapphire Diamond/Pearl Black/White X/Y

I've decided to start playing Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald again.
The battery has run dry again, and I don't know what aspects of the game that the lack of the internal clock will affect.
I know it affects berry growth, but I don't know what else.
Will I be unable to access certain areas and be unable to catch certain pokemon? I know I can just play Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire instead, but I need to use the original games for a plan that I'm working on.
I want to catch all Pokemon in their native regions, then transfer them all to X and Y. I like breeding in X and Y, so using all the other games to unlock the shiny charm will be a great challenge!
For cross-gen evolutions (i.e. Roselia into Roserade) I'll breed for the base form in the region that the cross-gen evolution was made available and evolve it. That way, Roserade's summary screen will say that it was obtained in Sinnoh.
