jake grew up on cinibar island and enjoyed wandering along the beach he often went to the lab to see what was happening.When hewas 9 his mom told him that he would get his first pokemon on his 10th birthday.the day before his 10th birthday he found a black like pokemon it was a shadow charmander oak who was visiting the island caught it and said JJ caold have it on his 10th birthday.when he woke up he went down stairs got dressed and found prof oak who gave him the shadow charmander
