The Speed is less than perfect for HP Fire, and low defense, but you're doing it wrong to let Roserade take a physical hit.

I'm actually considering going with the HP Fighting 68 one earlier... Damage calcs seem nice... thoughts?

20 points of Special Defense assuming he's trying for 31s is a good difference, go get a damage calculator for Ice Beams/insert Grass attacks/etc.

10 is still rubbish considering it will live through it's resists.

Er... wrong nature, it was actually Modest. Either way, still great, Modest Gengar is beastly strong and with today's metagame, anything faster isn't switching in.
