My Top 5 Fire Type Pokemon

I agree that Reshiram is pretty beast, but I'm leaving legendaries out of my top fives. Instead, once I've done all seventeen (or eighteen if necessary) types, I'll do a top five list of my favorite legendaries. I'll probably do one of my top five least favorite Pokemon at some point too. Don't worry, Blaziken won't be on it. I don't like him, but I don't hate him.

I never clicked with Reshiram, or Zekrom, they're a little too simplistic.

Blaziken had better not be in your bottom 5. At least I hope not. Compared to derpape and embore, Blaziken has a mega evolution, there's another reason.

A) Don't worry, he isn't in the bottom five. I know Pokemon a lot worse than that,
B) Only six (if you include Mewthree) mega evos have been announced. Chances are, there are more to come.

Just regarding opinions... Hey, hey. If shinylucario's opinion is that Infernape is ugly (one which I happen to agree with but that's not the point), he's quite free to think that, and it's a perfectly valid reason to dislike a Pokemon. *Shrug* You asked why he disliked Infernape and you got it. It's just an opinion.

Well, either way, not the point.

Whaaat, nobody mentioned Ninetales yet? D8 I love that Pokemon! It has some brilliant movepool options, such as Energy Ball and Confuse Ray, and is just the best troll ever. Plus, just /look/ at that shiny. <3 It was my first ever favourite Pokemon, and it forever will be.

Some other fire types missing out on the love - Rapidash and Flareon. I mean, metagamewise neither of them are very useful, but Rapidash absolutely murders ingame with its attack stat. That thing is a beast.

Overall fire is definitely one of my favourite types, so I had to come over in here and drop my two cents~

Let's see... it's gonna be hard to rank 'em, but these are pretty much my five most favorite:

5. Magmar. Probably my first favorite Fire-type, but it didn't really start to grow on me until the one I raised in SoulSilver. (I think Magmortar is okay, too, just not its biggest fan)

4. Pansear. The first shiny I ever hatched from an egg, and one of my favorite shinies to date besides. Other than that, I just kind of think it's cute.

3. Torkoal. The first Fire Pokemon that really "clicked" enough with me for it to be on my final team (Dang, a lot of firsts on this list, huh?) Back in Sapphire, it was pretty much the only obtainable Pokemon that could learn Heat Wave by level-up, and to this day Heat Wave is one of my favorite moves.

2. Lampent. Cooler than Litwick and cuter than Chandelure. I'd say I want one as a pet, but keeping it from absorbing people's souls would be a daunting task...

1. Darmanitan. Planned to try one out in White 2 since before I got it, and it didn't disappoint. A real powerhouse that really helped my White 2 team be really awesome (said team is pretty much Unexpected Bros: The Team)

As for the poll that doesn't exist yet, maybe you should do Grass next, seeing as how you've done Water and Fire already. Might as well round out the Starter types!

Volcarona was gonna be on this list, but having a 4x weakness to one of the usually weakest types ever (being rock) puts it in 6th.

Being weak to rock is really annoying for him (especially because of stealth rock ) but I think that his design, backstory and sheer power to burn through everything makes up for it.

fun bit of trivia, Emboar is the only fire type that can learn a damaging water type move

Fire Arceus can learn Surf 

And most fire types learn HP, which could be water type 

But I have a feeling you were discounting those...
