Not bad, I couldn't stand Tennant's glib attitude so I'm glad to see someone a bit more eccentric. Looking at the previews for the other episodes I've got to say I like how the Daleks are as they should be and I love the new steampunk-esque features of the tardis with the dials and levers.

Shaymin

he was okay, but not great

i just feel he was trying to hard to live up to Tennant and Eccelston, whereas he should have just tried less hard to be so omg-i'm-so-mega-awesomeeee

but yeah scottish companion (y)

but no one can replace the awesome gingerness of Donna. not even mini skirt Amy.

Latias Tamer

I don't think he's trying to live up to the previous Doctor's at all. Matt Smith is actually quite similar to the Doctor as an actor which is quite cool. I think that he's putting his own spin on it.

Yes.

Piccolami.

I loved the episode & really like Matt Smith as the Doctor.

...the fact that he's not too bad looking makes it even better =D

Noo! I live in denial that David ever left  :(

For whatever reason I missed the first episode with the new doctor. Darn the world for acutally likeing him!
And Darn my dad for saying he's as good as or indeed better than Tennant!....

BARROWMAN!!! *Shakes fist*
Mostly gone untill Black and White are out....I cant stand all the annoying rumors/speculation.

Do you damn the world for the series getting a decent head writer? All I ask is for no stupidly long endings to seasons because they were way too generic.

The new doctor is by far better than David Tennant, but I'm very biased there. After being pushed into watching it by LT, I'm glad I did watch it. Very good episode. He's very witty and not smarmy like Tennant, and some of the scenes are brilliant, especially with Jeff =D.

All in all, good start =]

I'm hoping, at some point during this series, that someone says, 'I'll explain later'.

Ammish

I really enjoyed the second episode, especially the moral choices that everyone was conflicted with towards the end. And what the Doctor offered was inhumane, yet necessary. Sure, in the end, there was an 'happy option'.

Hopefully, with more episodes, my love for Matt Smith will increase.

EMPIRE

Another brilliant episode, Matt Smith is going to be an exellent doctor and i hope he's around for a good couple of years. Next episode looks awesome aswell but it looks like it should be a two parter but hey i havent seen it yet soo.

the whole "star whale = doctor" thing was.. drilled in just a bit
if they'd just left it with amy saying once that it was an old/kind/lonely/omglastofitskind creature, then.. connection would probably have been made, hur o.o

anyhoo! yes. Did rather love it. Love the futuristic-but-old-fashioned style. i'd say "steampunk", but it isn't really so i won't. I didn't. you saw nothing.
Liz 10 is made of swish and i look forward to her reign.
she's the bloody queen, mate.

though when she first appeared i recognised her.. and assumed i recognised her from doctor who.. such was the.. face-being-hidden-and-then-REVEALED.. so i spent five or ten minutes trying to work out which character she was, before i realised I'd seen her in something else entirely.

and.. yes. haven't quiite warmed to amy but I approve of her investigating things for the hell of it. Also liked the doctor's moments of being ANNOYED, though I'm not sure why. Not quite referencing his outburst at the end of Waters of Mars.. just.. general pompous..ness.

Bless the star whale. Most adorable.
-hugs its brain-

Terrence Hardiman...YES. He sounds just like he does playing The Demon Headmaster. Seriously, put him in a grey labcoat, and a pair of tinted glasses, taunting Dinah Glass/Hunter, and...yes!

Next episode looks good...And Churchill condoning the use of a Dalek isn't that OOC for him, seeing as he practically condoned the use of gas warfare before WWII~...

I knew I recognised him from somewhere. Yeah it's the Headmaster.

But anyway, loved this, can't wait for the next one. One thing I feel would have been good was to not have those next time trailers and just leave it as a cliffhanger.

Mulholland

I think I love Amy Pond. Like seriously, she's amazing <3

I laughed at how Scotland was now excluded, even though the Union flag had the Andrew blue on it and the map of the country had Scotland on it.
