Description: Standing at an above-average 5'10", Dane is very thin yet fit enough to handle the taxing physical aspect of his journey. He's very near-sighted, but he swapped his old glasses for a pair of sunglasses that act as a pair of corrective lenses. He wears a light blue overshirt, unbuttoned over a grey t-shirt. He has a pair of white and orange shorts and a pair of sandals. He has also cut his hair shorter, it's now tossled in the front. The reason for this sudden change in appearance is to be unrecognizable for some reason.

Personality: Dane has matured a lot from his younger days in his 4 years of adventuring. Though he was first a hotheaded and sarcastic trainer that was extremely proud of his strength as a trainer, over the years he has seen a lot and thought a lot. He is now quite wise and collected, but his snarky sarcasm has slowly evolved into a wit and cleverness. He's intelligent and knows quite a lot about Pokemon and their characteristics, and can easily bond with most Pokemon. He is also a quick-thinking strategist, able to think of complex tactics on the spot. However, as of late, he's extremely light-hearted, and claims to be quite the inexperienced trainer. Why he's acting this way is unknown.

History:

Dane's history is full of hardship. He was either abandoned or orphaned at a young age, as he was homeless until he was eight. It was on a snowy day in a Celadon City alley that he met his first Pokemon, an Aipom on the verge of death. Being a young child, he covered it in his only jacket, putting his life on the line to help save it. After this, they formed an inseparable bond; Aipom helped obtain food for Dane and itself and Dane provided minor shelter for the also struggling Aipom. By the time he was eight, he was recruited for a training facility for homeless children, which turned out to be a training facility established by the Management. After five years, he broke out of the facility and escaped in the hopes of freedom. Dane, having not had his own useful swimming Pokemon, swam through stormy seas with no Pokemon to assist him, as Aipom couldn't swim any better than Dane could. Against all odds he washed up on Cinnabar Island, captured a Psyduck and a Golbat, and fled on the back of Golbat. He registered himself as a legal Pokemon Trainer in Kanto and lost the tracks of the Management. He then proceeded to earn the Boulder Badge and traveled to Cerulean City. There he met Kristian Royap, a rival Trainer. They have traveled together ever since, making allies along the way. However, he recently split from the group. Wy he has is unknown.

Dane's third Pokemon counting Ambipom. Their relation started out very rocky  and it proved to be a very headstrong Pokemon that gave the beginning trainer some serious trouble. As time went on, they managed to become very friendly towards eachother. He's a happy Pokemon that isn't too worried about its size to play with other Pokemon and is surprisingly delicate. It's large size and scary appearance are deceptive of his kind nature. Still, he's a huge physical powerhouse and a viable asset to Dane, as well as a close friend.


Medicham (Female) [Heal Ball]

Medicham is a veteran of Dane's team, having been owned since he was about 10 years old and being his fourth Pokemon. Medicham has always been trouble for Dane, as she is a very independent Pokemon as well as quite the vixen. However, this is not without its benefits - Medicham makes great use of her appeal with moves like Attract, Captivate, and Swagger. Medicham is interesting for her species in that she hasn't made much use of her psychic abilities, opting for physical moves instead. Due to the circumstances, Dane will be relying on his Medicham a lot for the time.


Haunter (Male) [Poke Ball]

Moves: Shadow Ball, Confuse Ray, Toxic, Lick, Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Shadow Punch, Destiny Bond
Haunter is a playful, curious, and cheeky Pokemon Dane recently captured. It's able to hold its own in a match, but it's not much of a battler. Not too much is known about this recent capture. It makes good use of sneaky tactics, including status like sleep, paralyze, confusion and poison.


Grimer (Male) [Great Ball]

Moves: Sludge, Poison Gas, Pound, Acid Armor, Giga Drain, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Shadow Punch
A Pokemon Dane recieved in a trade earlier in his adventures. It had some training experience, evidently, knowing a few useful special attacks. It's never been used much by Dane, but it's ready and willing to be used for stealth or battle.


Ariados (Male) [Nest Ball]

Moves: String Shot, Bug Bite, Constrict, Dig, Flash, Giga Drain, Leech Life, Pin Missile, Psybeam, Poison Jab, Poison Sting, Signal Beam, Toxic
Ariados is a very tricky Pokemon in combat. It uses several unorthodox attacks that you'd hardly expect from any Bug Pokemon like Ground and Psychic moves. It's sneaky and somewhat odd, displaying strange behaviors, but it does seem fond of Dane, which is to be expected - Ariados has been with Dane for a very long time, being his first official capture. It's shininess makes it a very rare catch and it's beautiful moves only add to Ariados' appearance and strangeness. Dane and Ariados are very close.

Dane, however, is keeping Ambipom for obvious reasons, Chimchar because of how Dane originally stood up for it, Croagunk because of the Happiness Checker result, and Ariados and Steelix because they were his second and third Pokemon, and after being traded, he hadn't seen them for some time.

Dane is also the Champion of Sinnoh.
