As rubbish as it sounds, Marcus is right - things do sort themselves out in the end. Once you escape to uni, people in general are more accepting and people care less about the details of other people and their sexuality.

Yeah, I'm English, which is good as people /are/ more accepting here than in other parts of the world. It just seems so unfair that the chavs and the idiots can go around and get whichever slapper they like, despite their not being good looking, and be generally happy in their ignorance, and yet I feel depressed all the time because I constantly see fault in myself and can find nobody to reciprocate my feelings towards them.

Oh hun I can completely relate to that. I had crushes on straight guys all my life (had, have, continue to do so... what's the difference) and it's depressing beyond words. It's worse when it's also your best friend and you are completely aware of the futility of it all.

Like Tim said it gets a whole lot better at university. Not only are people more accepting/tolerant but also there are usually a homosexual-oriented societies that you can join and talk to other like minded people (depends on the university but some can be really cliquey so don't get discouraged).

There is no need to see fault in yourself as there is nothing wrong. I went to a Christian school with daily prayers so I know what I'm talking about. Just know that you have a very strong support network on here and I like many others are more than happy to talk you through some of the problems/issues
