We've just had a Spanish girl move onto our floor for this semester. She's really shy and since she's only just got here she's trying to adjust. I am the only person up here who can speak Spanish, and I've been trying to make her feel better by only speaking to her in Spanish. The other girl who lives up here (who is dating the guy next door just so she doesn't have to by her own food and is just in general a layabout) is being really patronising towards her and treating her like a 5 year old. The others have said I should be looking after the Spanish girl since I can translate and stuff. And I'm not saying that cos I fancy her =P

It's hard to motivate yourself to do some running when you can't find matching socks.

^ As long as you're wearing socks it doesn't really matter, running should just consist of wearing warmer clothing in this weather and more suited to running clothing in the summer and having running shoes (trust me, if you're gonna do it on a regular basis then you will need them otherwise the chances of getting osteoporosis and osteoarthritis will increase a lot, especially if you run on concrete). Just thought I'd give a heads up there =]

Although it does remind me that I need to go running as I'm horribly out of shape which is very annoying =P
