Simply put, is there an option to block a particular user's posts? If there is, then can I be told where to find it?

It might be the buddies/ignore list in your profile - I'm not sure whether it includes ignoring posts, but that's the only option there would be.

Adding someone to your ignore list will somewhat hide their posts, in that you'll still see where the posts should be but you can't see the content unless you hit 'Click here to see post.'
