Are Essex accents meant to sound the same as London ones, or is my hearing terrible?

Sebastian Moran

I thought that Essex was part of London
or
Greater London
then again almost everywhere is part of Greater London isn't it

I kept trying to type in foot ball (without the space) and it changed ballet. Why in the world did that happen? Foot ball (without the space) isn't a bad word 9to my knowledge.

Uhm the British call American Foot ball ballet. That's probably why, so people can understand you better...

How did I now know that! I grew up thinking it was Soccer, not Ballet.

Depends on the part of Essex they're from, the further south you go the stronger the accent as far as I know. Brentwood in particular is a much stronger accent than a London accent ^^'

It's a filter put on the site; every time foot ball is mentioned as one word it is automatically changed to ballet =P

well of course they sound the same
its like how one can't tell  lancashire and norfolk accents apart
or irish and liverpudillian

all very similar accents

Not sure what to do. I could get a BB Playbook for £153 but is there any point? I mean as a cheap portable internet tablet its great but no SD slot, no skype, no synchronised bookmarks (I think) and all the free browser games I play while drinking tea need a mouse and/or keyboard. I suppose should probably keep the money for book, games and blu-ray. :/

Hmm HDMI cable and BBC iPlayer could make it pretty handy.

Fable 3 is confusing me; my second child as a baby was white but now that he has become a toddler he has now changed skin colour. Plus both of the parents are white...

And whilst I think of it, I'm very confused as to how my sleeping pattern has become so messed up xD

I've somehow ended up getting to sleep at nearly 5 and waking up at 2 in the afternoon. D:
Had to get up at 8:40 today, it killed me.

I'm confused as to how a civilised country could let a disgusting radical bigot like Santorum get anywhere near power. This is why democracy is terrible and needs to be replaced with dictatorships with leaders of my choosing.

Couldn't sleep till 6 in the morning today and had to wake up at 7. ;;
Thing was, yesterday, I slept at 5 and woke up at 12.
but I'm also wondering whether I'm an off-and-on insomniac or just somebody with a really bad sleeping pattern. If I'm predicting things correctly, I'll end up having to go through school on a regular basis with a few hours under my belt, like last year and to an extent, the year before ;;
