Why am I even shy any more? Why do I still have this weird subconscious barrier that makes everything so much harder to say?

I have the knowledge that I am naive about topics, and I always expect a person in more confident wording to come along and correct me on the Internet. (You all know who you are, and now you know that I know this pattern) I know it's coming, but why do I want to make a point anyway? How is my awareness level this high?
