haha don't talk to me about a-level maths

here's a hint i failed it despite being the best at school at maths how does that even work tho

Similar boat for me, although again that came down to my work ethic

I miss middle school, I went to a terrible one so I was made out to be some sort of genius. Maybe because I didn't have to try academically speaking back then I've retained those issues.

Hmm

Same! And every time I learn it again I'm like "okay I totally get that, awesome, now I'll never forget again" and then ohhh wait.

Also the link Xagor posted has made me very happy :') but yeah, numbers are a long forgotten phenomenon, I occasionally see an x^2 and get all nostalgic. On the plus side, I'm pretty sure I know most of the Greek alphabet by now, plus I'm really well practised at drawing curly versions of uppercase letters..

Glad you enjoyed it. If you have time you should check out all the entries (if you haven't already), some of the older ones are great.

I never went far enough into maths itself for numbers to disappear entirely. I have just remembered that I actually deal with normal numbers fairly regularly in my work, even if it's just to compare the energies of two different structures.

For some reason, long division is easy for me. And I somehow knew the Pythagorean Theorem when I was was in 3rd grade and didn't know it at the time. Yet, I can't remember what I had for dinner last night. So, my mind is just weird.

How can a level 10 skiddo with no evasion boosts dodge the hi-jump kick of my level 80 blaziken twice then knock it out with tackle. What the hell?

How often do people die in The Hunger Games books?

I want to start reading them, but at the same time... I lose interest unless someone dies, or if I don't like the writing style.

SirBlaziken

^ From middle to end of the original Hunger Games book, all throughout the whole book in Catching Fire and Mockingjay. Mostly during the hunger games in the first book and Catching Fire.

^once the games start, its pretty frequent, considering they need to kill off ~20 people in one book

sniped but whatever

Hunger Games is death death death.

Hear it from someone who read it when they were 11 and had nightmares because of it. It was fun though haha I enjoyed giving myself nightmares. I was cute.

SirBlaziken

^Did the same only a month after I turned 12, loved the series. This summer, using pool noodles (one was broken) and rubber kickballs, my sister, and a couple of other people made our version of the hunger games. The confusing part was the rules.

thats a bit weird but it sounds fun haha.

me and some friends made a book characters scenario where we basically just picked a male and female character from 12 different books and decided what would happen if they were in the hunger games.
I can't remember who won but 10/10 would write again.

Pam-the-Lamb

Oooohhh, I might have to pick it up or borrow it from the library!

SirBlaziken

I have all 3 books. I love the series.
