Awkward Squirtle

I think I know what you mean, but it just looks like an island to me. It's not shaped like any letter in particular anyway.

Captain Jigglypuff

^It sort of looks like an X. Maybe it's coincidence but it COULD be a place where Unown are found as well. The Braille writing may have been replaced by Unown letters.

Where is this unown island? Is it the one sort of between Sootopolis and Ever Grande City?

I just read about Mega Sableye on another site.

The Pokémon Company International has just uploaded a new trailer that features a brand new Mega Evolution, Mega Sableye has been revealed at the Nintendo's Kids Conference at E3 today in Los Angeles. It is said that Mega Sableye uses the jewel as a powerful defensive tool in battle. From behind the shelter of the jewel, it can readily exploit the opponent's weaknesses and take advantage of any openings. It is said that the jewel hardens into such strength that no attack can even make a scratch!

That last line there gives me the impression that Mega Sableye's ability is Wonder Guard.
Considering that Fairy is the only type to be able to hit it if that were the case, Sableye will be way overpowered.

Everyone had better get a Fairy type on their competitive team or you might be in a bit of trouble against it!

Where does that giant gem actually come from when it Mega evolves anyway?

Captain Jigglypuff

^I think I heard the gem is from the one on normal Sableye's stomach.

Awkward Squirtle

I think it's funny that all its gems have turned into rubies when it was a sapphire exclusive before.

....technically they just turn into red gems, we don't know if they're rubies or not, as rubies can come in purple and brownish hues too, they're not just red nor are rubies the only red gem stone as Diamond can be red also xD

But yeah, it's kinda odd that they'd choose that.

Looked like new signature moves for Primal Groudon and Kyogre, and I'll bet Kyogres works like freeze dry. Why? Well, it was used on Swampert, so as Groudons is presumably ground (SE on Blaziken), kyogre's will presumably be SE on Swampert, making it either grass type or freeze dry-esque. Not sure exactly how it'd work, as 'water that's SE on water' wouldn't make much sense, but maybe they ignore resists? Idk, I'll just bet that it'll be SE on water/ground somehow

^About Freeze Dry, it makes sense why it'd be SE on Water types. The move description says it all. The user blows air so cold even water freezes and becomes solid. Plus the four known Pokemon to learn the move by level up all are said to be able to produce extremely cold winds that rival the Antarctic.

Yeah, I know freeze dry makes sense, I was saying that a water type equivalent would struggle to make sense but I think they must've found someway to work it

I think the Braille writing will be replaced by the Unown. I mean they haven't been around since Gen 4 and the Braille dots were too hard to figure out in my opinion. I kept getting confused trying to memorize each dotted symbols that I just ended up giving up translating the messages and took wild guesses as to what I was supposed to do. I mean it's so hard to memorize 26 letters made up of 6 dots and THEN punctuation marks in Braille on top of that!

I think Sableye will get Huge Power for defence

Mawile just gained the only type super effective on it, and went offensive oriented. Sableye needs a similar boost, and so this could be acheived by giving it mega Mawiles stats but with double defence > Double attack which would turn it into an amazing physical wall

Sometimes I feel like the only one who had the braille code written at the back of the instruction manual.

To be honest, that would make a lot of sense. However, if sableye got Huge Power, it would have to be faster or the ability wouldn't work because your attack goes back to normal if not at full health. Also, if they gave it prankster, that would make it a better mega banette imo. So the makers have options to toy with.
