I read that a 3DS has an infra-red port built into it. Since Pikachu does too, I'm curious to know if it is possible to connect Pikachu to the virtual console versions of Gold and Silver.

I've always wanted to know what happens if you use the Mystery Gift feature in Gold and Silver.
