That's right, now you can trade! But you need to be friends first. You get gifts that you can send to friends too, and those gifts contain 7km eggs that hatch.... Alolan Pokémon!!!

Ultra Friends trading is so beneficial.

Also, dont know if you guys know yet, but you can trade regular pokemon to each other and it has a chance of becoming "Lucky"!
