1) I know he didn't "invent" anything, but he influenced a lot of people
2) The thing about Genesis is a lie: He didn't try to "remove" anything: He usually does songs from '73 during live tours.

i got a haircut. excuse the bad quality and weird smile haha. the hairdresser took it to show off her awesome job. this was exactly what ive been wanting for like a year, and my old hairstylist could never pull it off for some reason T_T
