I hate that song. It comes on the music channels like every five minutes and it annoys me =P.

My list has probably got shorter since I posted:
~ When You're Gone (Instrumental, Music just words <3) - Avril Lavigne // The instrumental just sounds... amazing, I like this song of Avril's better than "Keep Holding On".

~ Mama - My Chemical Romance // Blame my friend for this one.

~ Girlfriend - Avril Lavigne // The horror of this song never stops...

~ Cancer - My Chemical Romance // Don't know why, I just like it O.o

~ Everything Back But You [Instrumental] - Avril Lavigne // Can't wait to hear the full song on April 16!

~ I Can Do Better - Avril Lavigne //Same reason as above ^.

~ Alone [Clip, BOO!] - Avril Lavigne // Oh well, not long 'til Monday. I can get the single (Girlfriend) then! : D

~ I'm Not Okay (I Promise) - My Chemical Romance // Just one of my favourite MCR songs right now. Next to Teenagers!

~ I Know - Drake Bell // Couldn't miss my #1 favourite guy off the list now, could I? - I don't listen to Drake as much as I should right now, the excitment of Avril's big return has taken over =P.

As far as musical history goes, they practically created Nu-Metal nearly 13 years ago.

As far as other factors go, Jonathan Davis is a brilliant singer, Munky/Head are great guitarists (even though Head left...), Fieldy's a good bassist, and David Silveria's drumming is pretty good.

THE POINT IS, if you created a subGenre of Heavy Metal, you have to be good XD

Yeah, you have to have a certain creative flare(that you undoubtedly lack in order to appreciate that), in order to create a whole new style of music. You have to mix characteristics well.... For example:
Enter Shikari: They mixed... something with something else BADLY.

Beastie Boys: They mixed rap with rock WELL.

You see? It's harder than it sounds.

Dude, I'm not doubting their musical ability; I'm just saying I don't like their music. -_- No need to take it so personally.

And having studied music for a number of years, I am more than aware of the creative process that is involved. I didn't say it was easy, I didn't say "omgf kron suxx.x.x.!!!" I'm just saying I don't like their music, or music in that particular style.
