I've already seen post counts skyrocketing, and some people were at only 300 before the post count started to go up in RP, and now they are at over 2000.

I think it might be permanent.

If you don't put too much weight on post count, it's not much of a problem.

People's counts skyrocket because of the huge amount of one-lined posts which are churned out each day, which often leads to massive threads, co-incidentally. There's not too many of those 'Post decent paragraphs of text every time you post' left around right now.
