Hi all, decided to re-breed Scizor for the VGC worlds because I wanted a tailwinder, and here's what I got:

Scyther - #123 (Jolly) Female (♀) Technician: 31 / 31 / 29 / 30 / 24 / 31

Very happy! =D

The last sheikah

I didn't realise when I got it but a Japanese ditto I caught a few weeks ago is Adamant with 31 in HP and Speed, with not terrible everywhere else.
Shiny Metagross, Scrafty, Druddigon etc., anybody?

Ok, so I tried my hand at RNGing wondercard events for the first time (Mewtwo/Victini) :

Victini
Victory Star / Jolly [+Spd / -SAtk]
31 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 31
UT Lv50

Mewtwo
Pressure / Timid [+Spd / -Atk]
31 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 31
UT Lv70

The victini should be useful, considering the v-create, but I don't play in uber, so mewtwo might just end up taking box space

Anarcree

Poliwag
Sassy
Swift Swim
30 / 12-13 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 18-19

Needless to say I'm quite happy with that. :)

Seems that Doomsday's come early this year.

Piccolami.

Scraggy
Jolly
Moxie
14-15 / 31 / 31 / 20-23 / 26-27 / 31

Quite chuffed with that as it's the first ever thing I've IV bred :3
human beings in a mob
what's a mob to a king
what's a king to a god
what's a god to a non believer
who don't believe in
anything

I was breeding/rnging some Unova stuff to try and trade away at VGC but then I forgot my DS on the day D:<

Trait: Justified
Adamant nature (+Spe, -SpA)
31 / 31 / 31 / 24 / 31 / 31

Trait: Sheer Force
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpA)

They're some great Ivs, I wish I could get them without RNGing,  don't really like doing it, so I was wondering if someone could help me learn how to IV breed well, or at least link me to somewhere where they learned themselves, that would really help.

Global Warming

uhhh if you don't want to rng and breed instead then there's no real secret that will let you breed "well" since you are still at the mercy of the RNG. You can stick power items on your mons in you want to guarantee that an IV will be passed down, but you forfeit having a degree of control over the nature if you give a power item to the female. There is a big helpful table of combinations for IVs your baby can have and how likely it is here, infact the whole guide in general is very good.

Not anymore! Males have been able to use Everstones to pass gender down since.. I think it was Platinum? It certainly works in HgSs and BW at least.

Yeah I learned largely from the Smogon guide - though it's basically just a matter of breeding two Pokémon until you get a baby with better IVs than one of the parents, putting the new baby in the Daycare in its place, and continuing. Obviously it's a bit more fiddly than that but the guide will teach you~ ^^

The guide is actually written for games up to HgSs, but BW mechanics are almost (if not completely) identical. Also for BW breeding, when choosing your Flame Body / Magma Armour user, Volcarona is the best hatching slave there is since it can learn Fly too. This roughly halves the time it takes for your eggs to hatch.

If there's anything from the Smogon guide you don't understand, of course you can make a topic here and someone will gladly explain things to you ^^

lol i didn't know that about males everstones! That is so useful!
It is deffo possible to get good babies from non rng parents. My blazekin and rotom were made non rnged
my blazekin has 31 in every stat apart from attack which is 30
it just requires a lot of patience. It takes me roughly a week or 2 to get a good pokemon.
For me, it is just so time consuming
also i might make a reckless staraptor
they seem so cool! it is my fav starter birdmon

Well done, you're one of usssss now MWAHAHAHA.. ^^;

Something I'd like some advice on please:

Machamp, No Guard, Brave, Male: 31 / 31 / 10 / 10 / 30 / 0

Not sure whether to re-breed for better defence or not. The 30 Sp.Def won't make any difference, because I'll be using it at lv 50 anyway and obviously everything else is perfect for it so I'm not sure..

Spriter

I'd keep that one. The 0 Spe is great, as is the HP and Attack and S Defense.

Think i am going to iv a different rotom, this time it will be modest with hp fire

I got this recently after spending ages soft reseting for my event Mewtwo on Black:

Mewtwo - #150 (Modest) : 25 / 31 / 24 / 31 / 5 / 24

I'm quite happy since it's got a decent speed and 31 in special attack.

Rex made the awesome sig <3

Sakura
Thanks to Psychic Fire for my adorable Ledyba

Thanks Jaze Briena for my Ledyba recoloured as Glaceon =)

Thinking of breeding egg moves and IVs on SoulSilver.

Does anyone want to conjure up a little list of useful tutor moves I can tutor some decent Pokémon?

(Oh wait, Scyther's a good start, with Bug Bite/Superpower)
