If you see my posts in the RP, you will see a bit of back story. After my trainer and me beat Alder, I beat him until unconscious during his sleep and stole the amulet studded with the eight Unova badges away from him. Zachary was another team member and before this meeting in the academy I hadn't seen him in years.
