Arctic Monkeys - first album is fantastic, latest one's not too bad
The Killers - a bit more pop orientated but still should be likeable
30 Seconds to Mars
Coheed & Cambria - a bit heavier

If you want older stuff could always go towards The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Beatles (very expansive discography), Genesis, Pink Floyd, although these I expect you may have already visited. Guns 'n' Roses too if you can get tolerate Axl Rose's voice. Pearl Jam are great. Foo Fighters too. T-Rex have some classic songs as well, sometimes they get forgotten about. KISS are great too!

Could always go British with Oasis and Blur (although Blur's later sounds a tad different, still great though).

I dunno how much of these you know though so yeah, how expansive with music do you want to get too? A lot of the stuff from the 60s are great, a quick search on Google of stuff influenced by the older stuff could work out great too for similar sounds.

Also try Grace by Jeff Buckley, it was his only album but it's awesome. Did a cracking cover of Hallelujah.

Hope that helps anyways :)

that was faster than expected, will definitely check out all of these. thank you !!!

pity sex are sick, backed. one of the singers, britty, has a side project way closer to shoegaze roots, procession. check that out too, she's got a good voice on her.

daylight, turnover, citizen, brand new. first three are all new wave 90's rehash bands.
better than you, est. always

lets all go out for some frosty chocolate milkshakes

if you want a further elaboration on the electronica side of muse and the killers and want a more experimental beardy post-rock edge give Battles a try

you may or may not like what Cocteau Twins do????

re: panic! at the disco/MCR/etc., if you didn't give Funeral For a Friend's 1st album a try (2nd one, Hours is alright but its no Casually Dressed for sure) then thats another taste of that sort of era of emo punk stuff that everyone back then listened to

not sure if Smashing Pumpkin's would segue nicely into exploring REM's back catalogue at all? if you haven't already

try Placebo too if we're around that end of the specturm (smashing pumpkins/radiohead), latest i'd go is Sleeping With Ghosts cos after that,....egghhhh...
you might like Meds or even battle of the sun ughhhhh but ymmv

i saw sleigh bells being reccommended so im gonna put Marnie Stern since i found them the same place i found sleigh bells and ladysingers are gr8

speaking of lady vocalists i've liked recently theres a free album by someone called Kero Kero Bonito by which is kind of like the reverse of when japanese singers do an english album mixed with videogame sounds and the whole kate nash sorta thing if that takes your fancy idk
they'd probably be really offended i pigeonholed them all contortionist style like that but im not good w words

gonna go out on a limb and reccommend KLF, Mindless Self Indulgence and Refused as complete wildcards in case you get really bored

all of these could be complete misses but oh well i had fun
