"Sure, for what's remaining of the day," Wayleon said, looking at a clock that was positioned on the wall, reading 7:45 pm. "I can probably give about an hour, and then I'm going to hit the hay. I'd like plenty of sleep before we get carted off to god-knows-when..." he said, walking towards the melee room, and opening up the door to wait for James to come along.

Pulchra stood silently through the rest of the conversation.  She didn't like the sound of what would happen if she smoked one of the 'cigar-ettes', and she certainly didn't like the idea of not being able to stop doing it, either.  She looked disdainfully at the three that Damien showed Villiers.  They were exactly the same as the one he had in his mouth.  Smoking - Pulchra decided - looked exceptionally boring, and not a very worthwhile use of anybody's time at all.

Leon broke in, also interested in the cigarettes. "
The future is wonderful, my friend."  Pulchra stared at him like she'd just caught him peeing on her mother's favourite chair, wondering where on Earth he got an idea like that;  they were all experiencing the future and it could have been described, in Pulchra's opinion, as anything except wonderful.  Or beautiful, or great, or good, or bonny.  She sighed, just as Villiers took off his hat and offered it to her.  She began to reach for it, but he put it back on and walked away again.  She stared after him, very confused.

The man in the green and brown clothes spoke above everyone. "Do you want to move this discussion to the training rooms? We can talk there and start to resharpen our skills for our first mission."

Pulchra shifted where she stood.  It sounded as though - if she followed - she would have to fight.  She didn't want to fight at all, and she stepped back slightly from the group, afraid that someone would try to make her come along.

((I'm sorry I didn't post for so long - I might be a bit less regular now as school's back, but I should be at least a little more regular than I was now as I don't have any more performances until July))

Sidia just sort of shrugged and said, "Actually, I was planning to go there earlier." No need to mention that she had no idea which way she was supposed to go. She started to head out, then stopped and waited to see who else was going, hopeing someone knew how to get there better then she did.

Training rooms? Now was the chance for Eztli to learn how everyone else fought. Maybe he could fight with one of them? A friendly fight: the kind he would have with others back in his time when there wasn't a battle to go to or citizens to protect. Did they have the right weapons though? Blood Coyote really only knew how to use the weapons he trained with. He'd seen other tools of battle on warriors he killed or captured, but never used them. The woman who woke them up mentioned a place with weapons, but he couldn't remember where she directed them to.

"I'll go with yourself. Fighting makes me feel good. Makes me sleep better." he explained as he walked towards Sidia. He looked around at the strange building they were in. Still no sign of the warm sun he knew. Everything was so odd: the buildings he was from had directions on the walls and symbols to represent what each room had in it. "This place is big. Do we have map?".

James had suggested that they move the conversation to a training room, Lucille had never been trained for combat or anything at all, she felt like she probably wouldn't be good enough and that maybe she would be pushed aside, but then again, what did they have training rooms for if not to improve? She followed the rest of the group towards one of the doors. Everyone else seemed to be trained or used to fighting with weapons and Lucille hoped that someone would want to practice hand-to-hand combat with her. She caught up with James. "Do you know where you're going?" she said, grinning at him. She suspected that he didn't.

Everyone else made for the door but Villiers stayed behind, still leant against the door. He would wait for everyone to be in the training room and occupied before going anywhere at all, he might peek in and take a fencing sword if they had any but otherwise he had a total disinterest in the room.

((echo can I pm you my plans for Villiers? - I wanna do something with him but I dunno if it'd be within the rules of the RP if you know what I mean.))

"I know where i'm going. I hope." James says. He walks through the door and looks to the doors. Luckily, they were labeled. "Signs..... how helpful. I'll go practice with shooting. I need to recover some skill in there before I move on to close quarters combat."

James walks into the ranged combat training room.

((Um.... echo, can you describe the training rooms in more detail so I know what to do? I would write more, but I can't describe the rooms.))

((Imagine it to be like a shooting range. Here's an example of what kind I'm going for. Assorted weapons are arranged near the door. I really don't mind how you choose to describe it. However it comes to mind, I suppose.))

Leon watched James walk into the ranged combat area, despite him holding the door open. Leon groaned and rolled his eyes, looking at the rest of the group that was approaching him. He was really hoping that someone else would come inside so he wouldn't look like such a dork. He could hear Blood Coyote talk about training. Oh no. I do not, do not want to fight Blood Coyote, he said, avoiding eye contact with the group.

Garath started towards the melee training room, but stopped before he got to the door "Training is all well and good, but I suggest we try to mainly learn how to use weapons we aren't already proficient in, because there may come a time were we can't choose what we fight with."  Garath said to the entire group and then continued into the melee room, nodding to Leon on the way in.

Well, at least others knew where they were going. She paid closer attention to the path they were taking this time.

Sidia shortly followed Garath inside the melee room, then looked around to see what kind of weapons there were. There was a large assortment of both primitive and futuristic weapons alike. It was kind of interesting to see them lined up, showing the progression from their more basic forms to the more advanced versions of what were basically the same thing. She wondered if they had weapons from other planets as well, since herself and Garath were there.

She tried to decide what to use. She wanted to a couple knives, since that was what she was used to, but decided against it. Still though, she didn't want to pick up something she had no idea how to use. Luckily, she had had some training in a few different weapons, so she had some options. She picked up a sword that had a mid-length, thin blade and was relatively light. She had some experience with this type of weapon, but it handled pretty differently from her knives. She gave a few practice swings to get a better feel for it, then turned to the door to see if anyone else had come in.

A room to practice with ranged weapons and a room to practice with melee weapons. Always being one who liked charging into the action, Eztli opted for the melee weapons room. Not that he didn't know his way with a spear and sling. But that was for later. Right now, smashing something would feel nice.

Eztli entered the melee room shortly after Sidia. He looked around at all the tools and felt excitement. Swords, knives, clubs, some sort of shiny thing with a square end; a collection of weapons that'd make any warrior back home envious. Some weapons were small shiny cylinders and didn't look effective while others immediately reminded him of his time. "This is some nice tools." he said to himself in awe. He approached a wall with an assortment of glittering and gleaming weapons and took hold of one.

It was a metal rod of about arm's length that ended in a ball with spikes. The handle was a comfy grip made of some sort of fabric. "Shiny cuahuitl. I like it. Heavy. Strong. Good to break with." he spoke, admiring the weapon. He swung it slowly around him, getting a feel for the tool.

Lucille entered the melee room along with the others, when she did Garath was talking about being proficient in more than one kind of weapon and some that you weren't familiar with. Luce had never even held a weapon that was any more than a bread knife, hand-to-hand combat was her style and she wasn't exactly going to be in a situation where her limbs weren't available... Would she? Either way she concluded that the best course of action would be to train with a weapon that seemed to be common throughout all cultures, swords or guns of some sort. A gun felt like the obvious choice - that way she didn't have to get near to people holding weapons. She walked over to the section of a wall that held the guns, she took a small pistol from it's place on the wall, feeling rather uncomfortable. Lucille tossed the gun up and down in her hand, it was heavier than she'd expected but looking at it she only had a vague idea how it even worked. She put it back on the wall and stood in a casual position feeling the need for assistance.

Once everyone had left the room, Villiers stood up straight and made for the door. He walked to the end of the sterile corridor and took the opposite direction to the others. After a couple more turns the corridors began widening and had fewer doors. He thought it odd that he hadn't seen other people but soon he came across a door that said "controls and personnel" he wasn't exactly sure what a 'personnel' was but it contained person and through a small window he saw some figures at desks. He quickly moved on from those doors and passed rooms labelled 'research,' 'laboratory,' and even 'hangar,' although like personnel he wasn't sure what that meant. The doors to those rooms had no windows so Villiers suspected they were dangerous. Despite the corridor's wide, white expanses, Villiers couldn't shake a small nagging feeling that he was being observed.

((Apologies for the lag in my replies; I've been rather slammed lately with my final studio project and havent had much time for anything else sigh ;___; ))

Clipper rode into the training rooms on James' shoulder, and made a pleased caw as he looked about the room. "Wow!" Opening his wings and flapping off the soldier's shoulder and onto the floor, he hopped along a few paces, curiously eyeing the weapons and area. There wasn't; much use for him with a great deal of the weapons, but he was happy to see so many options for his more humanoid allies. Flapping up onto a counter near the wall of weaponry, he looked at the various gleaming metals of the blades and gun barrels and made a quiet murmuring noise in enthrallment. How shiny!

Damien, meanwhile, turned and watched everyone piling into the melee and training rooms. "Well, guess that's the place to be right now, ain't it?" He said to know one in particular, taking another drag of his cigarette. Nodding a bit to himself, he stepped into the training room and looked around, eyes widening. He probably couldn't even name half of the weapons he saw in there! Trying not to look as in awe and lost as he suddenly felt, he walked with purpose over to gun around, finding a rifle and picking it up gently, trying to remember what he had learned the time he'd gone to a shooting range. Glancing over, he noticed that Victorian era girl, wasn't Lucille her name? She was standing before the gun rack as well, looking a bit overwhelmed.

He smirked a little and took a step towards her, still holding the rifle, "Some mind-blowing stuff here, right?" He said to her, casually. Couldn't help to start a conversation, especially with another one of the lovely ladies about.

Pulchra took a deep breath to steel herself, and – not wanting to be left alone – slipped into the room after the others.  Her light, cautious footsteps padded against the floor as she paced the room, trying to retain her bearings.  There were targets on one side of the room, though she could not tell for what until she surveyed the weapons on the large rack next to the door.  She decided she could safely presume that the knives and swords didn't need long range targets, so that left everything in that section out.

There was an assortment of things on one side that Pulchra had never seen before in her life and they all seemed at least a little similar to each other.  There was one she spotted that was no larger than the palm of her hand that was a dull black, other than the handle, which was slightly matte.  She didn't know what they were and – not wanting to hurt anyone (especially not with what looked like two long black pipes on a brown handle; that looked even less safe than the first one) – she gave them a wide berth.

She stepped to the side a little, and took one more long, hard look at the weapons until – finally – she found something that she had seen before: a slingshot.  She picked it up and plucked at it a little without loading it, and was pleased to find that it was exceptionally springy.  She smiled to herself, picked up the small wooden box of what she assumed would be projectiles, and made her way to the targets.

She was sure she could use it based on what she'd seen from the children in the street.

Garath looked at all the weapons around him trying to pick out one he didn't use during his stay in the Magrold army, however he instinctively reached for a katana that was on the wall. Then realizing that training himself more with a katana would be pointless so he grabbed a random weapon from the table, a weapon that turned out to be a two sided battle axe with a long handle. Garath gripped the handle with both hands and gave it a test swing. He was surprised to see how light the large axe was compared to a black steel weapon, black steel was known on Sul to be quite heavy, so in comparison this axe seemed quite light. "I could get used to a weapon like this." Garath said to no one in particular, giving the weapon a few more swings.

James walks in. There are a variety of weapons on the wall. "Well then, ours hosts have a nice stock, don't they?" James commented. He takes a rifle off the wall and inspects it, making mental notes of what the details are. The soldier sees the gun is loaded and proceeds to the target room. James opens the door to the sealed off room, glass was there so everyone could see what he's doing. He puts the ear shields ((as he calls them)), they looked like ear muffs. The soldier takes aim, everyone else shielded from the sound thanks to the glass. James pulls the trigger, the target had a hole in it.

James takes the ear shields off and walks out, putting the gun up. "Well, we know that works." he said. Lucille seemed to be having trouble, then Damien walked over and started talking to her. James looks back to the wall of weapons and finds a quiver of arrows and a bow. The soldier takes the bow and the arrows down and feels the weight. Light and simple to use. I think Lucille may be able to use this. I'll see if she wants them. James walks over to Damien and Lucille with what he collected and says, "Sorry to interrupt, but I think i've found something that Lucille can use. It's pretty light, but looks like it could do some damage if needed." James shows them the quiver of arrows and the bow.

((Would this be ok? There's got to be something for everyone.))
