Looks like you want FF7 vs Zelda.

I think Duck Hunt Dog was a great addition to the series so I'd like to see him return. Otherwise I don't think I mind what happens with the rest of the roster. Good job Sakurai.
My mom bought me this new laptop and it gets really hot when the chat is being spammed. Now my leg is starting to hurt because it is getting so hot. Please, if you don't want me to get burned, then don't spam the chat.

I think a Pokemon Pinball RS stage would be fun. The flippers could throw fighters into the air and the Pokeball on the table is gigantic and capable of causing damage. A ring out would be located where losing the ball would be and the Hatched and Wild Pokemon appear randomly and act as the pokemon assists of the stage.

But what do you think about duck hunt?

btw, I'll go into more detail if you wish, but the majority of those characters could either be alternate costumes like this:

Or assist trophies or something.  They're nowhere near the face of certain video games or franchises, or even icons, like what you see in smash right now.  It honestly sounds like something a person who has only played like 3-4 video game series would suggest, because all I see there are Mario, Pokemon, Donkey Kong, and Zelda, and maybe only like one outside of it.  And it doesn't get any better with your stages.

i would like an entire overhaul of the roster. sure, keep a few characters as there are some you can't be without as they're such huge hits, but some really just need to go. this would make it a smaller less interesting game, but maybe it could result in a shorter time between games being made.
overall, i feel duck hunt should be the only character available in the game to use. just my opinion no hate

The Macintosh Ninja: SOH CAH TOA

I'd like to see Simon Belmont make an appearance as either a fighter or an Assist. Castlevania did debut on NES after all. If any other Sonic characters make it into Smash, I'd prefer Tails or Knuckles over Shadow: way less likely to be clones. Maybe Maxwell from Scribblenauts could join the fray. He'd attack kinda like Mr. Game & Watch: pulls random objects out and hits the opponent with them.

I was actually thinking of Simon before. I just couldn't remember his name. Also think the playable characters from River City Ransom would be interesting to see. There are so many other Nintendo characters out there that it is hard to keep track of them all. How about adding Lara Croft, Soda Popinski, Shantae, and maybe Spyro to the mix?

None of those are nintendo mascots and I've never ever heard of a Spyro game on nintendo.  Are you even reading a single thing I'm posting or are you shut off to all contrary opinions?

Given the average age of Smash gamers, Simon Belmont would be a bit awkward given his bondage gear...  I'd think Soma Cruz would be the most likely CV character since I'm pretty sure the Sorrow games were popular.

Spyro has had some games on the GBA and DS systems. Not to mention the Skylanders franchise. And who said that all the Smash Bros had to be Nintendo mascots? Snake was in Brawl and HE isn't a Nintendo mascot. I'm just stating who I think would be interesting to see in the mix here. These are just my opinions. Crash Bandicoot also had one game released on the GBA. Spyro and Crash's GBA games are lesser known to most gamers but they exist.

True, though they could also go with Simon's design in the "...of Sorrow" games (brown trench coat, red vest, etc.) or from the "Lords of Shadow" series (fancy red coat, no shirt). The only problem I now realize is that a good number of Simon's signature attacks have some religious themes to them (Holy Water, Grand Cruz). I can see them figuring a way around the Holy Water, but the last one would be tough to do without completely changing it. I wouldn't mind Soma being in it: he could have a "copy" ability like Kirby given his [Soma's] power to absorb demon souls.

Hm...maybe a Monster Hunter character? It'd be hard to implement given the number of weapons/armor in that series. Though I'd like the Final Smash to be a Deviljho appearing and turning everything to hell.

Lord Raven

Simon wasn't in any of the portable CVs...  Also, Lords of Shadow was PS3-exclusive whereas the portable CVs and CV1-4 were all on the NES or SNES.

Difference is that Snake had some roots on the NES and MGS1 was remade for the Gamecube, and having MGS3DS made much more sense (in retrospect).  Snake is also much more iconic than Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, and part of the reason for his inclusion has to do with the fact that MGS4 was coming out or was already out - Kojima clearly pulled some strings to get some advertisement.

Point is that they had to have some very active involvement with nintendo aside from a couple DS/GBA games that almost nobody has heard of.  The Twin Snakes and the 90s Metal Gear games were definitely well known among gamers.

Granted, Snake is still a bit of a head scratcher, but he makes way more sense than Crash and Spyro.  Snake was also considered more of a guest character than a mascot.  Given that every Skylanders game was on every modern platform, Skylanders isn't going to be a thing either.

By the way, neither is FF7, KH, or Goku.  Goku is primarily an anime character, not a video game character.  Most mainline KH games are on Playstation consoles and in general KH's roots are in Sony (whereas MGS' weren't).  FF7 has never, ever been associated with a Nintendo console.

One of Goku's earliest appearances was on the NES. I mostly want him for that reason and also because Bandikai is in charge of Smash Bros.

The majority of DBZ games as well as the most popular ones were on the PS2/PS3.  If you ask someone about a DBZ video game, they'll either respond Legacy of Goku or the Budokai series, and not some random NES game that very few people have heard of.

To add onto that, DBZ is primarily a Shonen Anime/Manga series.  There are zero anime characters on the current roster.  Everyone on the roster was a video game first and anime/manga series later.
